🏆 A Proud Milestone for San Ġwann FC Academy

We are delighted to share that, for another year, San Ġwann FC Academy has successfully retained the MFA A Licence, the highest level of academy accreditation in Malta.

This achievement reflects the club's continued commitment to providing the best possible environment for our young players. Thanks to the significant investment made by the club this year, we have been able to further strengthen our Academy and continue meeting the high standards required by the Malta Football Association and UEFA.

This season has also seen the introduction of performance analysis across our grassroots teams. Through regular assessments and monitoring, we are able to better understand each player's development and provide them with the support they need to reach their full potential.

Retaining this accreditation is not something that happens by chance. It is the result of the hard work and dedication of our coaches, players, parents, volunteers and committee members, all of whom play an important part in the continued growth of our Academy.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to making San Ġwann FC Academy what it is today. Together, we will continue raising the bar and providing the best possible environment for the next generation of players.

It is with great sadness that everyone at San Ġwann FC learned of the passing of Charles Sciberras, affectionately known by many as “il-Fly”.

Charles was a respected figure within Maltese football and a passionate contributor to youth development, dedicating many years of service to the game and helping shape the journeys of countless young players.

On behalf of the Committee, Technical Staff, Players, and Members of San Ġwann FC, we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May Charles “il-Fly” Sciberras rest in peace.

It is with great shock and sadness that we learned of the passing of Academy pioneer Charles Sciberras, affectionately known as “il-Fly”.

Charles played a fundamental role in the development of our Academy, dedicating countless hours, energy, and passion to help shape generations of young players. His contribution and commitment laid foundations that continue to benefit our Academy to this day.

We are forever indebted to Charles for his work, dedication, and unwavering support. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the values he helped instill within our football community.

On behalf of everyone at Birkirkara FC Youth Academy, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Charles “il-Fly” Sciberras will forever be remembered as part of our Academy family. May he rest in peace.

Behind every young footballer is someone who believes in them, encourages them and is always there when it matters most.

Today we celebrate all the dads who spend their evenings at training, their weekends at matches, and countless hours supporting their children both on and off the pitch.
