🌙🎾 NIGHT TOURNAMENT 2026 🎾🌙
In aid of the Fondazzjoni St Jeanne Antide
In the spirit of the European Week of Sport, supported by BeActive - SportMalta

On Sunday 20th September our courts stay lit long after dark for a night of doubles, fundraising and community, with all proceeds going directly to the St Jeanne Antide Foundation and the vital work they do for families across our islands.

We are proud to hold this night in the spirit of the European Week of Sport, the continent wide celebration of getting active, and we are grateful to SportMalta for backing the event and for everything they do to keep our community moving through the campaign.

📅 Sunday 20th September 2026
🕘 Player registration from 20:00, first serve at 21:00
🎾 Fundraising and doubles matches under the lights
💶 Entry donation: €10

Open to club members and non members alike, so bring your partner, bring your friends, and come and be part of it. 💚

📝 HOW TO SIGN UP
Book at the club office, or reach out on WhatsApp to Grace Barbara on 7780 0003. You can also speak to any member of the committee. Limited places available, so do not leave it too late!

🍻 The club bar will be open right through the night to keep the spirits high.

🌅 Breakfast will be served towards the end of the event for everyone who goes the distance. Please note that breakfast must be requested in advance, before the tournament, so let us know when you sign up.

Three good reasons to be there: a cause worth playing for, a celebration of sport across Europe, and a club that loves nothing more than a full house. Every match played and every drink enjoyed helps the St Jeanne Antide Foundation.

🤍 WHITES ON, PLEASE 🤍
Summer BBQ | Strawberries & Cream, inspired by Wimbledon

Wimbledon has its whites, and so do we. With the big night almost here, here is a little inspiration to get you ready.

🎾 THE BRIEF
White is the main colour, with touches of green, purple or red. That is it. The rest is up to you.

🍓 SOME IDEAS
Crisp linen and tennis whites. Pleated skirts and polos. A strawberry print if you are feeling it. A green cap, a purple scarf, a red bag, or the classic knit thrown over the shoulders. Simple works beautifully here, so do not overthink it.

Our photo wall will be waiting for you, and our cameras will be out all evening. Bring your best whites and make them count.

🏆 THE GAMES
We have plenty lined up, with lots of chances to walk away with a prize. More on that very soon.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Sciberras beloved mother and grandmother. Sincere condolences to John, Shawn Sciberras and Family.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, 29 August 2026 at 9:30 am at Mqabba Parish church.

May her gentle soul rest in peace. 🤍🌹

🎾 Samsung Rennie Tonna Team Tournament – Week 6 🎾

The 2026 Samsung Rennie Tonna Team Tournament reaches the halfway point of the qualification stage at VLTC, and the second round of encounters begins this week! 🔥

Every team has now faced each of their rivals once, and from here on captains will be putting what they learned in those first meetings into practice as the same matchups come around again, this time with plenty more on the line.

Team Renette still hold the advantage at the top, but Team Kelsey and Team Roberto meet dead level on 36 sets in what should be the standout encounter of the week, while Team Jean Paul will be looking to eat into Renette's lead.

Expect another week of competitive tennis, great sportsmanship, and plenty of team spirit as players battle for valuable sets and points 💪🎾

With the tournament now well into its second half, the gap between the leaders and the chasing pack is starting to show, but there's still plenty of tennis left to shape the final standings.

🎾 A great experience for our young players at the Red Ball & Orange Ball Development Tournament, held during the Malta Tennis & Padel Federation Malta Junior Open 2026!

We are very proud of all 14 participants who represented Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club. Regardless of their abilities or experience, every player showed enthusiasm, determination and great sportsmanship. 👏
