A huge congrats to Justyna Król on completing her SDI Sidemount diver course! 👏🤿🎉

This course was not about "chasing" another certification - it was about building a solid foundation, taking the time to understand the equipment, refining every detail of trim, buoyancy and weighting, developing efficiency and creating a system that feels like a natural extension of the diver.

Once again, congrats Justyna! It was a pleasure to be part of your journey, and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next!

A huge welcome to Justyna Król, who’s here to take the next step in her diving journey and master the art of sidemount.

When asked, “Why sidemount?”,
Justyna replied:
“Sidemount is a deliberate choice, as it seems not only aligned with my own diving philosophy (particularly the freedom of movement ), but I also consider it the ideal next step in my development journey, as it quite literally opens up a path to everything I may want to do in the future. Plus, my spine may appreciate it as well 😉.”

So, with no time to waste, we kicked off with a long day of configuration and theory, got her beautiful, shiny new Stealth dialled in and hit the water!

When Heniu Skudlara told me he’d only ever used aluminiums ( regardless of the exposure type ) and wanted to experience what it was like diving steels with his drysuit, it was music to my ears!

We made a few tweaks to his Halcyon harness and hit the water. The look on his face when the amount of lead on his back dropped to just 2 kgs… PRICELESS ! 😂

It’s quite safe to say he absolutely loved it!

Technical Sidemount is about far more than simply carrying tanks on your side. It’s about consistency and precision. It offers increased redundancy, more efficient gas and equipment management, and direct access to valves when it matters most. Everything has its place, every procedure has a purpose, and every action is performed with control and awareness!

We added more tanks and turned up the volume as Saad continued his technical sidemount training.

More task loading, more equipment management, more team procedures and even more buoyancy practice! Despite the added complexity and increased workload, Saad is smashing it and looking increasingly comfortable in the water with every session! 💪
