🏀 LUXOL WELCOMES ANDRES BURNEY 💜

Luxol Basketball Club is delighted to announce the signing of Andres Burney ahead of the upcoming season.

Standing at 6’9” (206 cm), Andres brings valuable size, athleticism and experience to our Seniors Men’s team, having competed at the NCAA Division I level in the United States with Jacksonville State and Georgia Southern, as well as gaining valuable experience at the junior-college and Georgetown College levels.

His experience and physical presence will be an important addition to our young Luxol Seniors Men’s team, complementing our talented group of players as we continue to develop and compete at the highest level.

We are delighted to welcome Andres to the Luxol family and look forward to seeing him play for our club.

Luxol Basketball Club is delighted to announce the signing of Josiah Fulcher for the upcoming season.

The 6’4” guard from Lima, Ohio brings valuable experience from his time in the NCAA, having played Division I basketball at Bowling Green State University and the University of North Alabama, as well as at Clarendon College and Mid-America Christian University.

Josiah adds size, athleticism and versatility to our backcourt, and we are excited to see him make his mark in Malta.

Luxol Basketball Club is delighted to announce the signing of Lily Randgaard for our Senior Women’s team! ✍️

The American guard joins us after completing her college career with Florida Southern College, following two seasons at Western Illinois University.

A versatile and hardworking player, Lily brings valuable NCAA experience, a strong all-around game and the ability to make an impact on both ends of the court.

We are excited to welcome Lily to Malta and look forward to seeing her in the purple and white!

Coach Nedelkjo Ninko takes on a new challenge with Luxol Basketball Club, becoming Head Coach of our U14 Boys and U16 Boys B teams for the upcoming season.

And importantly, Coach Nedelkjo remains part of our girls’ programme, continuing his work with our U12 and U14 Girls. 💜

This is another major step in the development of our nursery, with a clear focus on fundamentals, player development and building the next generation of Luxol players.

Once again, massive congratulations to the Malta U18 Women’s National Team on winning GOLD at the FIBA U18 Women’s European Championship Division C 2026!

🏆 FIBA DIVISION C U18 WOMEN CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE! 🇲🇹🔥

Roderick Vella’s girls are the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket Division C Champions, producing a sensational display to defeat Cyprus 56-35 and bring the trophy home to Malta! 💪🏀

Malta set the tone from the opening tip with a defensive masterclass, holding Cyprus to just five points in the entire first half while storming into a commanding 24-5 halftime lead. From there, there was no looking back as the girls controlled the contest and sealed a famous victory.

The perfect ending came as captain Rebecca Fenech Pace proudly lifted the trophy, capping off an unforgettable campaign and writing another glorious chapter in Maltese basketball history. ❤️🤍🏆
