WHAT A SEASON. WHAT A TEAM ❤️

With the new season just around the corner, we looked back at 2025/2026 — and honestly, it’s hard to believe how much we managed to fit into one season.

Across six countries, Kudo Malta earned 106 medals in international competition:

🥇 54 Gold | 🥈 36 Silver | 🥉 16 Bronze

Kudo — 46 medals
BJJ & Grappling — 60 medals

We became European Champions, travelled across Italy, conquered Paris, celebrated two professional K-1 victories and our first semi-professional MMA fight.

We also brought international Kudo back to Malta, welcomed guests from across Europe, organized our own tournaments, watched beginners compete for the first time, and celebrated 150+ new belts and stripes.

Big victories and small personal ones. First tournaments, first medals, new belts, difficult fights, long trips, hard training — and plenty of great moments together outside the dojo too.

We are incredibly proud of our athletes. And to all our parents — thank you for your trust, support, time and energy. None of this happens without you ❤️

This is our shared result.

With a team like ours, we can move mountains — and apparently conquer the Eiffel Tower too 🗼

Enough looking back. We hope you had a good rest, because we’re ready to do it all again 😈🔥

2026/2027 — here we come! 🥋🔥

🤸‍♂️ New summer skills unlocked! ✔️

One of the best things about summer training is seeing our kids discover what their bodies can do — and how happy they are when a new skill finally clicks!

That’s exactly why this August we’ve added a special acrobatics session once a week — working on coordination, balance, body control and, of course, having fun along the way.

Keep learning, keep trying new things, and keep making your coaches and parents proud! 🥋❤️

Summer at Kudo Malta is not a break from progress — it’s a chance to progress differently. 🌴🤸‍♂️

🥋🇲🇹🇸🇰 Kudo Friendship Beyond Borders

Yesterday, our active competitor Matvei Kushnirenko paid a friendly visit to Kudo Slovakia, where he had the opportunity to train with the team under Sensei Jozef Kompan.

Matvei really enjoyed the training, the warm welcome from the Slovak team, and especially the personal attention and guidance from Sensei Jozef. 🙏🏻🥋

For us, Kudo has always been about more than competitions and medals. It is also about friendship, sharing experience, learning from each other, and building strong connections between dojos around the world. 🌍

We are very happy to strengthen the friendship between Kudo Malta and Kudo Slovakia and hope to meet again on the mats very soon! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

Thank you, Sensei Jozef and Kudo Slovakia, for the hospitality! 🇸🇰❤️🇲🇹

🔹 AUGUST — MOVEMENT & CONTROL MONTH

August brings the second phase of our Kudo Malta Summer Athlete Program ☀️

After July’s Power & Performance, we shift the focus to mobility, flexibility, coordination, balance and body control.

🤸 Every week, both summer groups now have a dedicated acrobatics & flexibility session led by Katya Miller — rhythmic gymnastics coach and active Kudo & BJJ athlete at Kudo Malta.

Katya knows both worlds: she brings her gymnastics experience to the tatami and selects the movement, stretching and acrobatic work that benefits martial artists most.

▫️ Kudo Futures — Thursdays
▪️ Kudo Performance Team — Fridays

Move better. Perform better. 🥋

⚪️ Every Stripe Has a Story 🥋

Today was a special day for our Kudo Malta AYUB BJJ Team as athletes of all ages received their new stripes.

This season has been full of unforgettable moments — tournaments, medals, victories, challenges, and new experiences. But the stripes on these belts represent something even more important: the work done every single week on the mats.

Every training session, every round, every lesson learned, every teammate who helped along the way — all of it led to today.

Congratulations to everyone who earned a new stripe. Keep enjoying the journey, stay curious, and keep moving forward. The next chapter starts now. 👊❤️

🥋 Belt Exam Day at Kudo Malta 🥋

Another exam is behind us, and we couldn’t be prouder of our athletes.

This time, 75 athletes successfully passed their belt and stripe examinations.

New belts and stripes are not just awards — they are a reflection of months of hard work, discipline, perseverance, and growth.

Well done, team ❤️

A special moment for our team 💚✨

At the latest Kudo Malta belt exam, Enea, Mario, and brothers Ethan & Daniel successfully earned their green belts 🥋

They demonstrated an excellent level of technique, discipline, understanding, and spirit throughout the exam — truly showing that they are ready for this important step.

In Kudo, the green belt is more than just a new color.
It is the level of a junior instructor — a sign of growing responsibility, maturity, and the ability to help lead younger athletes by example.

We are very proud of these boys and happy to see how far they have come since the day they first entered our dojo as white belts and began their journey with Kudo Malta.

Step by step. Belt by belt. Growing together 💚
