It was probably a crucial night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with Team Auger extending its lead in the overall classification and, now, a step closer to the title.
Captain Cory Greenland along with Roberta Fenech provided the first point of the night in the Bs doubles with a topsy-turvy draw against Team Rybakina's Adrian Sciberras & Bojan Tasic in which both teams had the chance to win. Then it was up to Jean Paul Azzopardi Holland & Andres Molina to provide the performance of the night and grab a decisive victory in the As doubles which extended the team's lead to 3 points in the table.
In the other encounter, Team Svitolina continued with their positive moment as they grabbed a further 3 points against Team Fonseca. Karl Debattista & captain Andrew Stafrace set the tone with a steady performance in the As doubles while Giovanni Colonna & Maria Angela Gambin kept their cool to earn a draw against Christian Serpina & Veljko Tasic in the Bs doubles.
So, with one week left, it's Team Auger closing in on the trophy and Team Rybakina and Team Fonseca fighting it out for second place in next week's direct encounter. See you there!! 🎾

It was (finally) Team Svitolina's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with Andrew Stafrace's team adding a further 3 points to their tally and registering only their second victory in the tournament.
Paula Gambin & Kristina Mizzi clinched an important draw in the Cs doubles after falling behind in the last game to Team Fonseca's Louise Aquilina & Ann Caffari. Then it was up to Karl Debattista to unleash his power and dominating the As singles to put his team in double figures in the overall classification.
The other encounter was top of the table clash between Team Rybakina and Team Auger. The latter started the better with Laura Johnson & Jake Camilleri controlling their Cs doubles with relative ease. Then it was up to Trevor Rutter to grab a further point for the Auger with an impressive comeback in an edge-of-your-seat As doubles against Team Rybakina's Josef Cristiano to keep his team at the top of the standings.
So midway through Week 5 it's Team Auger leading the way with Team Rybakina and Team Fonseca close behind. See you tomorrow! 🎾

It was Team Rybakina and Team Fonseca's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with both teams grabbing 3 points to keep their hopes alive for the top spot.
Following yesterday's double victory, Team Rybakina kept the positive form. Mark Pace & Jennifer Pace came back from behind to clinch a crucial point in a balanced draw against Team Svitolina's Francis Spiteri & Kristina Mizzi in the Cs doubles. Then it was up to Adrian Sciberras to shine in the limelight as his B's singles victory put Team Rybakina at the top of the standings, thus claiming the famous "sorpasso alla capolista".
In the other encounter, Team Fonseca edged closer to the top courtesy of a win and a draw against former leaders Team Auger. Jacob Micallef & Alida Borg produced a steady performance against Angelique Sciberras & Laura Johnson to earn a 7-7 draw in the Cs doubles. Then it was up to Christian Serpina to keep his cool and comfortably grabbing a further two points in the Bs singles.
So with two-thirds of the tournament played it's Team Rybakina at the top followed closely by Team Auger and Team Fonseca. See you next week for Week 5 and further surprises. 🎾

It was Team Rybakina's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with Christian Xuereb's team edging closer to the top of the overall classification.
Josef Cristiano & Emman Xuereb started the day on a positive note with a controlled and well-managed victory in the As doubles. Then it was up to Bojan Tasic & Mo Grech to grab a further 2 points in a quite comfortable win in the Bs doubles to put their team only one-point behind leaders Team Auger.
In the other encounter, Team Auger and Team Fonseca shared the points in two balanced matches. Captain Cory Greenland & Roberta Fenech had the better of their opponents in a tight Bs doubles which was decided in the last game. However Team Fonseca clawed a couple of points back with Stephen Lughermo & Nikolai Micallef's steady performance in the As doubles.
So midway through Week 4, it's Team Auger still on top with Team Rybakina only a step away. See you tomorrow! 🎾

30/06/2026

It was yet another good night for Team Auger at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with Cory Greenland's team extending their lead at the top.

In the other encounter it was all square between Team Rybakina and Team Fonseca. The latter started the best with Nikolai Micallef & Malcolm Scerri edging past their opponents in yet another balanced As doubles. However, the Rybakinas responded immediately as Bojan Tasic & Adrian Sciberras (sporting his Wimbledon white attire) kept their cool in the last games to take all the points.
So midway through the tournament, it's Team Auger with a 3-point lead ahead of the Rybakina-Fonseca duo. Still a long way to go! See you next week! 🎾

Then it was up to Jean Paul Azzopardi Holland & Andres Molina to come from behind and clinch a further point in a tight draw against Team Svitolina's Andrew Stafrace & Kurt Portelli in the As doubles.
In the other encounter, Team Rybakina had a perfect night which saw them reach 2nd place at the expense of former leaders Team Fonseca. Mo Grech & Anthony Zammit came back from a slow start to comfortably win the Cs doubles. It was the first decisive night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with two teams claiming four points and taking the lead in the overall classification.
Leaders Team Fonseca stayed on top with a couple of emphatic wins. Jacob Micallef & Ann Caffari had a flawless match to grab the first victory in the Cs doubles. Then it was up to Christian Serpina to dominate the Bs singles and keep his team on top of the overall standings.
In the other encounter, Team Auger secured a couple of close wins to stay in touch with Team Fonseca. Laura Johnson & Jake Camilleri kept their cool to edge the Cs doubles by the odd game. In the other match, Angelique Sciberras produced the performance of the night with a calm and concentrated victory in the Bs singles which put her team in the runner-up spot.

22/06/2026

It was an amazingly balanced day at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Monday evening with four close matches and with only Team Auger registering a win.
Leading from Week 1, Team Rybakina looked on course to another good week with Josef Cristiano & Emman Xuereb fighting hard to earn a draw against Team Auger's Trevor Rutter & Jean Paul Azzopardi Holland in the As doubles. However, with captain Cory Greenland back from his annual trip to his beloved Canada, Team Auger had other ideas. The captain alongside Roberta Fenech clinched a massive win in the Bs doubles to get their team back in contention.
In the other encounter, Team Fonseca climbed at the top of the standings courtesy of two draws against Team Svitolina. Stephen Lughermo & Nikolai Micallef grabbed an important point in an edge-of-your-seat As doubles against Karl Debattista & Andrew Stafrace. Then it was up to Vejlko Tasic & Alida Borg to come from behind and take a further point in another nail-biting Bs doubles against Maria Angela Gambin & Silvia Cecchia.
So mid-way through Week 2 it's Team Rybakina and Team Fonseca leading the way with Team Auger only a step behind. See you tomorrow for further (balanced) matches! 🎾

It was Team Rybakina and Team Fonseca's night at the RTC Summer Team Tournament on Tuesday evening with the Rybakina's climbing at the top of the standings following the first week.
Captain Christian Xuereb led the way with an outstanding performance alongside Emman Xuereb to grab the first two points of the day in the As doubles. Then it was up to Adrian Sciberras to steal the limelight with a steady (in more sense than one) showing partnered by the ever-athletic Mo Grech in an entertaining Bs doubles.
In the other encounter, Team Fonseca had a perfect night with a couple of wins which see them climb to 2nd place overall. Stephen Lughermo & Malcolm Scerri produced the shock of the night when they overcame Team Auguer's wildcard A couple coming from behind to edge the match by the odd game. In the Bs doubles it was the same scenario with Christian Serpina & Alida Borg keeping cool in the final games to clinch a further 2 points for their team.
So at the end of Week 1, it's Team Rybakina with a slender lead ahead of Team Fonseca. However, all teams have shown that they have the qualities to fight for the top spot. See you next week! 🎾
