What a fantastic performance from Kyran Attard and Julian Attard yesterday in Belfast. As a coach, I could not be prouder of both fighters and the heart, discipline, and skill they showed inside the ring.
Kyron Attard secured a technical knockout victory in the second round. This was only his third fight, and he showed tremendous composure, determination, and technical ability. His performance was a clear reflection of the hard work he has been putting in, and I am extremely proud of his progress.
Julian Attard also delivered an outstanding performance against a very experienced opponent. Although he lost the fight on points, he showed incredible courage, heart, technique, and determination from the first bell to the last. In my eyes, he gave everything he had and produced a performance that truly deserved recognition as one of the fights of the night.
Both fighters represented Malta and Team Noel with pride, respect, and professionalism. They showed what it means to step into the ring, give everything you have, and never give up.
I have to say, this was an expected fight. We only had four days’ notice to go to Belfast and fight.
As their coach, I am extremely happy and proud of both of them. The result is only one part of the journey the courage, dedication, and performance they showed today are what matter most.
Well done, Kieran and Julian. You made Malta and Team Noel proud. 🇲🇹🥊
