Gharghur Feast

The committee would like to thank the Socjeta Soċjeta' Filarmonika San Bartilmew and the organisers or yesterday's event. Its nice to see all village groups & committees united together.

Gharghur Football Ground - ongoing works & maintenance.

The committee would like to thank Bartholomeo Micallef (Bertu tal-Laham) for his voluntary service to plaster the club premises in the last days.

Grazzi hafna Bertu!! 💚♥️

Other works and improvements in the club premises are being coordinated by the committee members, including plastering/painting of supporters stand and change of seats. New seats (provided by Malta Football Association - 1900 ) will be installed after finishing plastering/paint.

Pre-Season ... End of Week 5

Pre-season continues and the teams keep on gearing towards the start of the national leagues. All competitive teams were involved in intensive training sessions, planning/preparation of matches and friendly matches during the whole week.

U15s vs Mgarr/Siggiewi U16 girls (3-3)
U15s vs Melita U16 girls (9-4)

The club looks forward to continue the preparation for the leagues, inducing positivity in all players and work hard to improve physically and as a group. There is no time to rest.... its a long season with our teams well prepared to achieve in 🤫

Ex- Gharghur FC players & friends

Yesterday evening, ex gharghur fc players & friends met again for a friendly match in collaboration with the Ħal Għargħur Local Council and the club. This event is organised monthly coordinated by John Camilleri (Ganni ix-Shorts). Ex Malta Senior team player/coach & Gharghur resident John Buttigieg & MP Mariah Meli were present too for the activity.

Pre-Season...end of week 4

More work on the physical side & strength in preparation for the upcoming season. This was the focus of the week for all club squads. Seniors & U19 were involved in friendly matches with U17 & U15s focusing mainly on training and preparation. Further friendlies for these teams next week.

Seniors faced Swieqi U19 (Minors Section A) while U19 faced Bkara Amateurs squad from Swan League. Positive attitude and other matters to work on during training in order to improve.

✍️ The club secured the service of young Nigerian striker Hassan Jamiu. Hassan (born 2005) has been playing in Malta with different clubs, scoring goals and provide assists to other players to finish in style. Hassan impressed club representatives during last season and although young, he can develop and grow gradually to help the club grow. Having Hasan as club foreigner is a continuity with club aim to develop talents!!
