The Buġibba Skatepark is a place where people of all ages are encouraged to come and spend some time to practice a hobby they love.
The skatepark has been open since March of 2015 now. The ideology behind why the skatepark was built was so kids, youths and adults can enjoy some free time in a fun and safe environment, espacially in a town like that of Bugibba where open spaces are so limited and playing areas are void. We will keep up our fight for this place, for the youngsters of the locality and for every member of the society because fresh air and open spaces are needed by everyone.

We would like to thank the Tourism Zones Regeneration Agency for installing 2 new benches at the skatepark! Thank you for your continues effort to help us have a safe and clean space for the community to enjoy ❤️
This is part of a wider maintenance and upgrade initiative by the community members led by the MSA - Malta Skateboarding Association and Malta Street Sports Alliance 👊
So far parents, kids and youths have;
🗑 Cleaned up the skatepark and insured that authorities start with regular cleaning schedules.
🎨 Painted the ramps of the skatepark, whilst C0ok3r did a new mural.
🚯 Installed new signs and surveillance cameras to ensure the security of the park.
🏀 Installed a new basketball hoop donated by a parent with the aim of creating a basketball section next to the park.
This is just the start - we have a long way to go with plans to fix the fencing, fill up holes, fix the ramps, build new ramps and provide skateboards and other equipment for those kids who cannot afford them 🛹

💥 Our next event will be an End of School JAM! 💥
📆 SUNDAY 5th JULY @ 16:00 till the evening
We will continue with some maintenance - and will be installing a basketball hoop 🏀 donated to the park! We will also be planning some new ramps! 🥰
We will also be donating a skateboard 🛹 and a scooter 🛴to two lucky winners!

The Buġibba skatepark has always been a community led project - an open space for all to enjoy and practice a sport they love 🛹🚴🛴⚽🏀🛼
After 10 years our skatepark needs some more tlc.
Join us this Saturday for a JAM - maintenance + clean up day 🌞
We will be fixing, cleaning, painting and playing around while enjoying each others company and some good music 🤙
🕜 The event will start at 14:00, C0ok3r will be there creating a beautiful art piece whilst McGowan's Misty Blue is one of the local business supporting the skatepark ♥️
