News from the Road!
A great morning at the Żabbar Road Races for our SpeedWorks girls!
Madeleine clocked a new PB over 5K, finishing 2nd in the Youth category, while Katarina also recorded a new PB in the 1K race (890m), finishing 2nd in the U15 category!
Two athletes, two PBs, two second places… apparently they like doing things in pairs! 😄
Well done girls — great progress and plenty more to come! 💪

This morning, our Head coach Jeremy travelled to Cles, Italy, to accompany the Athletics Malta Platinum National Team training camp, together with coaches Kevin and Luca.
Joining the squad is our own Matteo, who will be taking part in the training camp alongside some of Malta's top young athletes.
We wish all the athletes and coaches a safe journey, a productive training camp, and every success over the coming days. Make the most of this valuable opportunity and enjoy the experience!

A fantastic evening of racing for our young SpeedWorks athletes at the Midsummer Night Run, held in Żabbar and organised by Żurrieq Wolves.
Jake (U16) delivered another excellent performance in the 5K, finishing 2nd in the U20 category while setting a new personal best of 21:05.
Katarina (U14) also produced an excellent performance in the 1K, finishing 1st in the U14 category with a time of 3:38. Another confident race and another important milestone in her development as she continues to gain valuable racing experience.

Weekend Racing Recap
A strong 5K debut for Jake! At just 14 years old, Jake completed his first 5K at the Ta’ Qali 5K, organised as part of the BOV Volleyball Marathon weekend in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza.
Jake crossed the line in an impressive 21:34 — a very promising debut and a strong benchmark to build on. Well done, Jake!
Meanwhile, three more SpeedWorks athletes were in action on the track and field at Marsa, delivering another set of positive performances:
Liam (U14) – 800m | 2:25.63
Victoria (U16) – Shot Put 8.08m | Javelin 23.75m PB
Elizabeth (U16) – Shot Put 7.24m | Javelin 23.22m PB

Fantastic news from the FISEC Games in Hungary! 🇲🇹
Matteo produced another outstanding performance in the 800m, clocking 1:57.83 to break the Maltese U16 National Record once again by almost a full second (subject to Athletics Malta ratification).
Finishing 4th in a very strong international final is a remarkable achievement, especially considering Matteo was the youngest athlete in the race, competing against athletes up to two years older.
As a coach, seeing an athlete trust the process, keep improving, and perform on the international stage is what it's all about. The future is incredibly exciting.
Well done, Matteo. Bigger goals await! 💙
