The Montserrat Football Association is looking to identify boys born in 2011 or 2012, at home and across the diaspora, who may have what it takes to represent Montserrat at the FIFA U-15 World Cup Festival – Azerbaijan October 2026.

As preparations continue for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League (CNL), the Montserrat Football Association recently met with members of our Senior Men’s National Team player pool based in London.

The meeting provided an opportunity for players to meet and engage with the Head Coach and Assistant Coach, and to discuss the technical direction and expectations for the upcoming CNL campaign.

Discussions focused on the team’s game plan, player expectations, individual and collective development, and how the group can continue to improve and perform more effectively as a team. Players were also updated on upcoming National Team activities and the wider plans for the programme.

From an administrative perspective, Normalisation Committee Member Hervé Blanchard and General Secretary (Ag) Thandie Williams engaged with the players, listened to their concerns and discussed administrative and logistical matters relating to their involvement with the National Team.

The session formed part of the MFA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen communication and engagement with our players and ensure greater alignment between the technical team, administration and playing group.

Our outreach will continue, with plans to connect with players based outside of London as we build towards the upcoming CNL fixtures and the continued development of the Senior Men’s National Team programme.

Goalkeeper Coach Kenford Samuel took part in the Elite Youth Goalkeeper Coaches Workshop in the Dominican Republic, joining coaches from across the region for an intensive learning and development experience.

The workshop offered a valuable platform to explore the latest approaches to youth goalkeeper coaching, share experiences with fellow coaches, and enhance the skills needed to develop the next generation of goalkeepers.

Coach Samuel’s participation reflects the MFA’s ongoing commitment to investing in coach education and raising the standard of football development in Montserrat.
