Unlocking the Aikido Secret – The Power of the Back Knee
https://vimeo.com/ondemand/dra9d

The secret to Aikido techniques is in your back knee!

The importance of the back knee is often overlooked, but it can change everything.

I only discovered it recently during the pandemic while revisiting Shiota-sensei’s footage. The direction of his back foot was flawlessly consistent while he demonstrated the basic techniques.

Looking back, I remember how much he emphasized the importance of the back leg.

This video breaks down that essential principle and explains the real power behind the back knee that people rarely talk about.
May this insight deepen and strengthen your daily practice.
