During our last Council of Heads for this scholastic year, we took the opportunity to show our appreciation and gratitude to three School Heads that will start leading other schools in different Colleges. St Clare College is profoundly grateful to legacy that these Heads will leave behind. Under the visionary leadership of Mr Robert Magro, Ms Daniella Micallef and Ms Denise Galea Pirotta, their schools excelled in many ways. These colleagues always inspired the communities they lead to reach their highest potential.
As these Heads step into this next chapter of their journey, we wish them all abundant health, happiness, and continued success. Farewell, and thank you for everything.
Meanwhile, our College welcomes on board the new Heads that will be taking over these schools. These include Ms Dorianne Portanier Mifsud, Mr Stephen Grima and Dr David Debono. St Clare College looks forward to continuing supporting these Heads in their new roles while continuing to build on the legacy of their predecessors.

Il-Ġimgħa 29 ta’ Mejju kienet ġurnata li se nibqgħu niftakruha għal grupp ta’ studenti tagħna mill-iskejjel Primarji tal-Kulleġġ Santa Klara, uli għandhom il-Matematika għal qalbhom.
Dawn ħarġu mill-klassi u daħlu f’esperjenza ta’ tagħlim differenti u interessanti fil-Katakombi ta’ San Pawl, ir-Rabat, fejn l-istorja u n-numri jgħixu flimkien!
L-avventura bdiet b’sfida ta’ numri li wasslet lill-istudenti biex ofittxu u jsibu biċċa tal-fuħħar moħbija ġewwa waħda mill-katakombi żgħar ta’ Sant’Agata! Din is-sejba fetħitilhom bibien għal sensiela ta’ attivitajiet tal-maths divertenti u ta’ sfida, fejn ħadmu flimkien, biex irnexxielhom jaħsbu kif ser isolvu l-isfidu u jiskopru s-sigriet wara π (pi!) u r-relazzjoni bejn iċ-circumferenbce u d- diameter taċ-ċirku.
Taħlita perfetta ta’ tagħlim, teamwork u skoperta, waqt li kienu qed jesploraw il-passaġġi taħt l-art. Min jaf... forsi din l-esperjenza qanqlet lil xi arkeologu jew matematiċista futur fosthom.
Prosit kbir lill-istudenti kollha li ħadu sehem b’daqshekk entużjażmu, u grazzi mill-qalb lill-Kap tad-Dipartiment tal-Matematika, Ms Analisa Magro, talli kkoordinat attività tant sabiħa u sinifikanti.

Friday 29th May was truly a special and unforgettable day for our Mathematics gifted students from St. Clare College Primary Schools!
Our young mathematicians swapped the classroom for an exciting learning experience at the St Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat, where history and numbers came alive!
The adventure began with a numbers challenge, which led students on a quest. They successfully uncovered a hidden shard of pottery tucked away inside one of the smaller catacombs of St Agatha! This discovery unlocked a series of fun and challenging maths tasks, where students worked collaboratively, sharpening their problem-solving skills while uncovering the magic behind the mystery of π (pi!) and the relationship between circumference and diameter.
All this while exploring the incredible underground passages-truly a perfect blend of learning, teamwork, and discovery!
And who knows… maybe this experience has inspired a future archaeologist or mathematician among us. Only time will tell!
A big well done to all our enthusiastic students, and a heartfelt thank you to our Head of Department for Mathematics, Ms Analisa Magro, for coordinating such a meaningful and engaging activity.
