What used to be just a stretch of coast is now becoming something more, a meeting point for surfers chasing waves, travelers passing through, and digital nomads settling into the rhythm of the ocean. People crossing paths in the lineup, sharing sessions, stories, and sunsets without even planning to.

This is the new pulse of the north of Morocco—where community forms naturally between waves, and every session feels like a gathering of the right souls at the right time.

Gratitude for every sunrise, every sunset, every session, and every connection made out there.

He had a stable city job.

Content moderation. Decent pay. Zero passion.
Then he picked up a camera, moved to the Moroccan coast, and never looked back.

Aymen didn’t wait for the perfect gear or the perfect moment.

He started. He learned. He built something real.
We had him at La Crique in Bouznika, right on the beach, waves out front, and he shared his story. One of reinvention, self-belief, and doing the thing people told him was risky.

Spoiler: it paid off.

He’s now about to launch an international project that’s the next big step in a career he built entirely on his own terms.

At La Crique Surf House, we have the chance to meet really interesting people.
bonnef is one of them.

Kind, humble, and completely magnetic. The kind of person you don’t forget.

There are watermen. And then there is Fred Bonnef.

Fred was the first person to practice both SUP foiling and wind foiling in Spain. He’s crossed the Strait of Gibraltar in 45-knot winds. He wrote a 528-page book on stand-up paddling.

And he’s now helping build the foiling scene in Morocco, finding waves the crowds have never touched.

Fred is bringing the foil assist technology .europe to the region — making foiling accessible to more riders, with less barriers, in some of the most beautiful and uncrowded waters on the Atlantic coast.

This is not a comeback story.

It’s the story of a man who simply never accepted that the ocean was done with him.
