⚡ WHAT DOES IT REALLY TAKE TO RACE ELECTRIC?

What do the people who work on electric racing karts every day think about them? And how challenging are they when you are the one behind the wheel?

We asked the mechanics providing technical support for BSR electric karts to share their experience — what changes compared with traditional karting, what they focus on during a race weekend, and their tips for drivers preparing to compete.

We also hear from one of Latvia’s most experienced karting drivers, Ēriks Gasparovičs.
Ēriks has spent many hours racing electric karts and even more behind the wheel of traditional racing karts. That gives him a valuable perspective on the differences between the two — and, most importantly, what drivers should focus on when they get into a BSR electric kart.

🎥 Hear their experience, tips, and perspective in the video.
And the timing couldn't be better.

🏁 September 18–20 will be an exceptionally busy BSR electric karting weekend.
Three countries.
Three continents.
One weekend of electric racing.
🇱🇻 Latvia — Europe
🇯🇵 Tokyo, Japan — Asia
🇺🇸 New York, USA — North America
If you have been thinking about getting behind the wheel, there is still time to explore the opportunities and get involved.

And this invitation goes beyond these three events.
Electric karting championships are already developing across different parts of the world, including the American Electric Karting League, European Electric Karting League and Australasia Electric Karting League.

If you are a driver looking for a place to race, a team interested in joining, or an organization interested in developing electric karting in your country — get in touch.
There is room on the grid for more. ⚡🏁

Jelgava Was Calm… Until the Final. 🔥

15 Drivers. One Final. Zero Compromise. ⚡🏁
Round 2 of the European Electric Karting League at Rullītis Circuit in Jelgava started as one of those race weekends where everything seemed to run perfectly.

Then came the FINAL. 🔥
A standing-start incident. A stopped race. Multiple crashes. Even a cameraman caught up in the action.

It was a dramatic reminder of just how much was on the line. All 15 drivers came to Jelgava fighting for maximum championship points — and nobody was ready to give up a single position.

🏆 NFP Racing Team dominated the weekend, with Rolands Sprūde and Gustavs Ušakovs each taking victory in their respective classifications.
But nothing came easy.

Oliver Tams and Thorn F. Kudu kept the pressure on until the final meters, while in the Open class Andreas Oopkaup and M. Tankevicius fought their way onto the podium, finishing second and third in their classification.

This is what the European Electric Karting League is becoming: close racing, real competition and drivers willing to fight for every championship point. ⚡

🎥 The full Jelgava race recap is coming soon — follow us so you don’t miss it.

But this is only the beginning.

We’re already proud to confirm that M1 X Center will be part of the 2027 AEKL calendar. Between AEKL rounds, the track is also expected to host other electric karting events — from smaller club activities to larger racing experiences.
