🎓 LIHPS strengthens its expertise in athlete support
LIHPS is proud to share that Nadia Mossong, Head of Dual Career at LIHPS, has earned the “Accompagnement socioprofessionnel des sportifs de haut niveau” certification delivered by Insep ( Institut National Du Sport, De L'expertise Et De La Performance ). 🇫🇷
Over 126 intensive hours, Nadia developed the advanced skills needed to guide elite athletes through the realities of today’s high-performance environment:
🎯 Designing tailored dual-career pathways for elite athletes
🤝 Navigating complex institutional and stakeholder ecosystems
đź‘‚ Sharpening active listening skills and delivering effective individual support
🔗 Coordinating the collaboration between all actors supporting an athlete’s journey
The programme blended theory with real-world application — case studies, peer exchange, long-term athlete support experience, and a final assessment before a professional jury.
Why does this matter? 🤔 In a context where the balance between sporting performance and life planning is increasingly critical, socio-professional support plays a key role in ensuring sustainable athlete development. Nadia is now further equipped to guide athletes through their careers, transitions, and life projects with a holistic and human-centered approach.
Through this achievement, LIHPS further reinforces its commitment to supporting athletes holistically throughout their careers.
Congratulations to Nadia! 👏

The aim of the visit was to present the activities of LIHPS’ expert staff and to show how the HPTRC facilities are used, based on the latest findings in sports science, biomechanics and sports physiotherapy, to provide the best possible support to Luxembourg’s high-performance athletes.
The Minister and her delegation were introduced by the teams of the Performance Department and the Prevention & Return-to-Sport Department to specific activities in the areas of:
- change of direction
- environmental stress management, including hypoxia and heat
- biofeedback training
- strength & conditioning
- endurance diagnostics
- recovery methods.
Minister Hansen showed great interest throughout the visit and took the time to exchange not only with the LIHPS experts present, but also with the high-performance athletes training on site.

🦵 Topic: Current recommendations for muscle strengthening in young athletes
đź“… Wednesday, March 25, 2026
đź• 17:30
📍 d’Coque, Luxembourg
This presentation will aim to debunk several persistent myths suggesting that strength training is contraindicated or even dangerous in children, while scientific evidence on the topic is in fact very clear. The talk will address the effects of strength training on growth, its long-term benefits, and its impact on performance.
About the speaker
François Delvaux is a graduate in Sciences de la Motricité and Kinésithérapie-réadaptation from the University of Liège. Now Associate Professor at the University of Liège, he completed a PhD on sports injury prevention. Alongside his academic career, he has worked as a strength & conditioning coach for high-level athletes, including the Belgian national badminton team and the LFBB development center, and is also a sports physiotherapist in the return-to-sport unit at CHU/Sports.
The SLKS Annual General Assembly will follow at 18:45.
We look forward to seeing many of you there.
