It was a busy weekend at Biketours.lu! 💥

On Friday, we had a private group for a mountain bike team-building tour in Mamer 🌲 in the afternoon. That same evening, we hosted our usual after-work ride in Fond-de-Gras.

Saturday was packed as we provided bike 🚵 activities for a large international company's family day in Mondorf-les-Bains. Over 80 people joined us!

To wrap up the weekend, we had our regular "Best of Red Rocks"🪨 tour starting from Esch-sur-Alzette on Sunday.

In total, we guided over 100 people in just 3 days! 🤯

This wouldn't be possible without our amazing team, whom I'd like to thank. 🦸🕺🏋️🦸🚴

Here's a video of yesterday's Red Rocks tour with this friendly group from the Netherlands.

Enjoy! 😎🤟

This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting this group of friends for a ride with us in the Red Rocks.

Having already explored Larochette and Müllerthal with GPX tracks, they still decided to take a guide to discover the best of the red rocks.

What set them apart from other groups was that they were a well-oiled machine, a completely different atmosphere from mixed groups where most people meet for the first time when they get here.

I loved "Super Opa" who seemed to be the
OPA in the group, and who wore his jersey well over his shell 😁

The 10 friends covered 40km at a record speed of 17km/h... hot stuff! Even with my eBike, I had a hard time keeping up. Top!

Their only motto: Go!

The day ended as usual with a well-deserved beer and a friendly sharing of experiences.
Thank you so much for coming to Luxembourg."

eBike Ride in the Mosel Region,

It's been a while since I last rode through the vineyards. With a client planning a tour there soon, I thought yesterday would be the perfect day for a reconnaissance trip. The weather was great, and the sun was shining despite a few clouds in the sky ☀️🌤️.

For the occasion, I brought my partner along because biking together is always better 😊. So, we rented eBikes on-site to fully enjoy the cycling paths and trails through the vineyards.

We started from Mondorf-les-Bains, as our future client requested. Like a dress rehearsal, I completed this 20km route in real conditions to accurately time it and assess the quality of the path.

The vineyards are steep! For those who haven't been, I assure you some of the climbs are quite challenging and will make even the most seasoned cyclists' quadriceps burn 🔥. Clearly, we opted for eBikes on this tour to give everyone a chance to participate without collapsing from the effort.

The Moselle region offers a stunning natural spectacle with its hillsides, breathtaking valley views, and always in the background, the Moselle River, separating us from Germany 🌄🌊. The vineyards give off a vacation vibe, with a climate perfectly suited for it. It's truly a pleasure to ride there. However, I advise against venturing into the vineyards without a map, it's a total maze, and without a plan, you'll find yourself at dead ends quite often. Personally, I meticulously plan my route in advance and follow my GPS track to the letter 🗺️📍.

Our tour ended after a good hour and a half, passing along the Jhangeli bike path, which runs along the old steam train route. We passed by its old station, or rather, its two old stations, as both buildings are still standing 🚂🏢. A kind lady living in the first station gave us some valuable tips before we continued on our way. It was also here that we met other tourists with the same eBikes, following the "Velo Summer" trail set up by our tourist board to promote cycling tourism in our country 🚴‍♀️🌞.

After the tour, we had the chance to stop by some friends' place for a beer... but that's another story 😄🍻.

Enjoy!

Riders!

Yesterday, we organized our mountain bike tour 🚴‍♂️ starting from Pétange in combination with the AMTF Train 1900 🚂. The route covered the entire Minett Park Fond-de-Gras ... and a bit more!

Our 10 participants were motivated 💪 to tackle the planned 35 km. The youngest participant has yet to turn 12 🎂, but thanks to his electric bike, he was able to join in without too much difficulty, along with his parents 👨‍👩‍👦.

We planned a moderate route featuring the most beautiful single trails in the region 🌳. Some more technical sections challenged the skills of certain participants, but in the end, everyone made it through without any scratches... or almost 😊.

At 5:40 PM, we took the last steam train 🚂 connecting Fond-de-Gras to Pétange, which was a first for some participants.

This tour was a great success 🎉, and we thank all the participants for being there!!!

See you next time 🙂🚴‍♂️🚂

Little vacation ride on the heights of Leucate with breathtaking views throughout the journey 🌄. I was quite curious to explore the hinterland, which promises beautiful single tracks but lacks mountains.

Indeed, the tour was 26 km with 350 m of elevation gain, which might seem like a boring ride without a challenge... and yet: the trail was largely an endless singletrack through rocky terrain, stones, and erosion ruts 🪨🏞️.

A much higher technical level than expected, with, I admit, a few scares along the way 😅. I encountered many remnants along my path: houses and especially the remains of an old castle perched on the crest of the hill 🏰.

All the paths seemed to intersect, no way to get lost, one could say. The plateau is small and covered with hundreds of intersecting paths along the cliffs and vineyards 🚶‍♂️🍇. I was able to stop at the edge of an impressive cliff with a view of La Franqui and Port-la-Nouvelle to the north 🌊🏞️.

Further on, I finally reached the lighthouse that illuminates our terrace each evening with the rhythm of its light beam 🗼✨.

I wasn’t the only one who got up early to exercise. Along the trail, I constantly met people in their running shoes 👟 and retirees walking their dogs along the sea 🐕. Even in the most secluded spots, I encountered people. A lady was kind enough to photograph me at Cap de Leucate to capture this beautiful summer vacation memory 📸🌅.

Eager to discover more of this region, which seems to offer more than just good wine 😁🍷.
