On Wednesday, we had our summer training as planned, but nature had prepared a very special extra for us: a solar eclipse. 🌒🥋
Training together under such an unusual sky made the evening even more memorable. What a special moment to experience together on the tatami!

Marguerite and Eric spent a week at the beach, but definitely not to relax! 🌊🥋
From 18 to 25 July, they took part in SHIZENGEIKO 2026 in Houlgate, Normandy.
Their days began at 6:30 a.m. with Ken practice on the beach, followed by three hours of Aikido in the dojo. The afternoons and evenings were dedicated to Kenjutsu and Iaido. The intensive programme was guided by Malcolm Tiki Shewan Shihan, Doris Dohse, Cedric Russo and Greg Habert.
It was a full week of concentrated practice, inspiring teaching, new encounters and a shared passion for Japanese martial arts.
Marguerite and Eric returned with tired muscles, but also with many new impressions, experiences and ideas to bring back to our dojo. We are very happy that they represented CAB at this exceptional seminar!

Last weekend, Chris and Anne travelled to Waiblingen to take part in a special Aikido seminar.
During six intensive and inspiring hours, we had the opportunity to train with three different Sensei: Anissa Bouali from Deutscher Aikido Bund, Robin Seliger from Aikikai Deutschland and Felix Kulhavý from Sansuikai Deutschland.
The seminar was all about open exchange across styles and organisations, training together, discovering new perspectives and learning from each other.
We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the practice very much and met many great people on and off the tatami.
We hope that these Aikido synergies will continue to grow and remain alive in the long term.
A big thank you goes to the Aikido group Waiblingen for their wonderful organisation and their passion for Aikido.

To make our last class of the season in Bech a little more playful, Chris surprised our Aikido students with lightsabers. 🌟
What followed was a slightly unconventional weapons class, full of movement, focus, laughter and just the right amount of Jedi energy. 🥋💫
We hope everyone had fun and enjoyed this special end-of-season training. 😊

This Monday, as part of a self-defence course with Jean-Paul, we had the opportunity to dip our toes into the world of Karate.
We warmly thank Jean-Paul for this enjoyable and insightful course. There was a lot of laughter, and we all had the chance to learn something new.
We hope to continue this tradition and repeat the experience again next year.

On 4 July, CAB Bech had the honour of welcoming our friend and Sensei Éric Contet for a four-hour seminar marking the festive inauguration of our club in the Centre Culturel Hannerbra in Bech.
We warmly thank Eric for sharing his expertise with us and for making this special moment even more meaningful.
Following Chris’ wish, we worked in detail on the theme of seichusen, the central connecting the head, the centre in the lower abdomen, and the ground. In Aikido, it is an essential axis for stability, centred movement and effective technique.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on the tatami and contributed to this memorable seminar.

CAB Bech and CAB Bertrange closed a successful season with our traditional BBQ.
We would like to warmly thank everyone who contributed to this success — on and off the tatami.
Here’s to many more seasons of practice, friendship and shared moments.
Cheers to all of you!
