In the C2 Women 200m Finals, it was the TRUSHKINA/NEDELKINA crew representing AIN-B that dipped into the finish line, coming out of the water wrapped in the World Champion gold. The Uzbek and Chinese pairs claimed the podium second and third positions, a proud result for continental Asia.

They couldn’t believe it themselves!
Yesterday, in the much anticipated Women’s C2 500m, Carlotta LOSKE and Maike JAKOB put German Canoeing back on the world center podium. The pair executed a flawless performance, keeping the pace from start to finish and sliding into the Finish just before the Ukrainian pair LUZAN/RYBACHOK. The latter ascended steadily from 5th position in the half way mark, and earned yet another world silver to their name. The much contested bronze position went to the powerhouse AIN-B pair, who beat the Chinese Olympian crew by less than a second advantage.

K1 MEN 1000M SEMIFINALS
in which we can say with confidence was one of the peak highlights of this World Championships.
In the first run, Uladzislau KRAVETS (AIN-B) and Jonas ECKER (USA) tied for first place with a 0.00 photo finish margin.
Australia’s Tom GREEN (an absolute machine) dominated from start to finish with nearly 5 boats’ length lead from the chasing group, clocking 3:51.97 in headwind conditions in the second run.
In the third run, the Olympic titans Bálint KOPASZ of Hungary and Portugal’s Fernando PIMENTA fought neck-to-neck right across the finish, taking their battle over to the Final A round. There’s no question that we can expect a toe-curling finish in the Final A finale tomorrow afternoon@
