Pirmokai šiandien su gėlėmis ir kuprinėmis – į mokyklą… 🎒💐
O mes su meškerėmis – prie upių! 😂🎣

Vieniems prasideda mokslo metai, kitiems – lašišų sezonas! 🐟

Tik prieš pirmą metimą nepamirštam „namų darbų“:

📅 Rugsėjo 1–15 d.
🎫 Žvejojame turėdami galiojantį žvejo mėgėjo bilietą.
♻️ Lašišoms ir šlakiams – 100 % „PAGAVAI – PALEISK“.

📅 Rugsėjo 16 – spalio 15 d.
🎫 Nustatytuose lašišų ir šlakių žvejybos ruožuose reikalinga žvejo mėgėjo kortelė.
♻️ Ir toliau galioja „PAGAVAI – PALEISK“.

⛔ Nuo spalio 16 iki gruodžio 31 d.
Lašišas ir šlakius žvejoti draudžiama.

Gerbkime upę, žuvį ir vieni kitus. Tegul žuvis, kurią šiandien paleidžiame, rytoj sugrįžta dar stipresnė. 🌊🐟

🇬🇧 SEPTEMBER 1ST – SALMON SEASON BEGINS! 🎣🔥

Today the first graders are heading to school with flowers and backpacks… 🎒💐
While we’re heading to the rivers with our fishing rods! 😂🎣

For some, it’s the beginning of the school year. For others – salmon season! 🐟

Just remember your “homework” before that first cast:

📅 September 1–15
🎫 A valid recreational fishing permit is required.
♻️ All salmon and sea trout are strictly CATCH & RELEASE.

📅 September 16 – October 15
🎫 A special salmon and sea trout fishing card is required in designated river sections.
♻️ CATCH & RELEASE continues.

⛔ October 16 – December 31
Fishing for salmon and sea trout is prohibited.

Respect the river, respect the fish and respect each other. Let the fish we release today return even stronger tomorrow. 🌊🐟

The river is still held by winter.
The banks are frozen, the water cold and steady, and open water can only be found in certain places. That’s exactly what fly anglers are searching for right now in Lithuania rivers.
This is the time when salmon fishing becomes less about movement and more about reading the river. We look for slower, deeper runs where a king fish may pause. Every cast is deliberate, unhurried — the way it has always been done.
Success isn’t always measured in takes.
Sometimes it’s enough to stand there, feel the river, and know you’re fishing it properly.

🦄 January 7 — Winter Unicorn
Some days the river gives you something truly special.
January 7th.
Snow under the boots. Ice on the rod.
And this beautiful salmon, still wearing its autumn colours, answered the fly.

Tagged and released, as tradition demands.
Dark-backed, powerful, and full of character.
An old soul of the river.
Fish like this remind us why we respect the cold, the patience, and the process.
Respect the fish. Respect the river. Let them swim on.

🎣 Baltic Salmon Season 2026 — Day Three Report ❄️🌲🌊
Day three delivered everything winter fishing should:
snow, forest, river, fish and fire.
📸 A beautiful 70 cm sea trout — catch & release,
taken on a purple tube by Jurgis Naginevičius
Hard-earned, clean, and full of life.
🔥 Evenings by the fire kept spirits high after long, cold hours on the water.
🌡️ Looking at the upcoming weather, it’s clear:
from tomorrow the river becomes not fishable due to severe winter conditions.
Ice, cold, and rising difficulty will pause the season —
but what an opening chapter it’s been.

Thank you to everyone who shared these first days with us.
The season started strong — and it will continue when the river allows. 🎣❄️
