There was once a lion cub that became separated from its mother while it was still very young.
It wandered for days...

Hungry.
Scared.
Alone.
Until one day...
A flock of sheep found it.
Instead of attacking it, they took it in.
They fed it.
Protected it.
Raised it as one of their own.

As the years passed...
The little lion learned to do everything the sheep did.
It ate grass.
It walked with the flock.
When danger came...
It ran away with the sheep.
And whenever it tried to roar...
Only a weak little sound came out.
It had forgotten who it really was.
Because everyone around it believed...
It was just another sheep.

One afternoon...
A huge lion appeared on the hill.
The sheep panicked.
They all ran as fast as they could.
The young lion ran with them.
The old lion watched in disbelief.
"Why is a lion running away with sheep?"
Curious, he chased after the flock until he caught the young lion.
The young lion trembled with fear.
"Please don't eat me!" he cried.
The old lion stared at him.
Then he laughed.
"Eat you?"
"Why would I eat another lion?"
The young lion shook his head.
"No... I'm a sheep."
The old lion smiled.
"Come with me."

He led the frightened young lion to the edge of a quiet river.
The water was still like a mirror.
"Look," said the old lion.
The young lion looked into the water.
For the first time in his life...
He didn't see a sheep.
He saw a lion.
He looked at the old lion.
Then back at his reflection.
Something inside him changed.
The old lion let out a mighty roar that echoed through the valley.
Then he said,
"Now... you try."

At first...
Only a small sound came out.
Again.
A little louder.
Again.
Until finally...
A powerful roar shook the mountains.
The sheep stopped running.
The young lion stood tall.
He hadn't become a lion that day...
He had simply discovered who he had always been.

Many people spend their lives believing they are less than they truly are.
Not because they lack ability...
