Team Italy and Team Germany made history on the taraflex after playing a record-breaking 66-64 opening set in their match at FIPAV Cup Men Elite.

The first set alone lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes and is now the longest set in volleyball history after breaking the record previously set by Argentina and Poland during the VNL 2026.
