LBA Finals Resume Wednesday as Oilers Seek Revenge Against Pythons
The Liberia Basketball League playoffs continue this Wednesday at the SKD gym with Match Day Two of the best-of-five final series.
The headline clash sees defending champions LPRC Oilers battle arch-rivals NPA Pythons at 7:30 p.m., with the Oilers seeking a comeback after losing the opening game.
Earlier, Junior Rockies face Louisiana Blazers in the Third Division, while Paynesville Bulldogs take on Bushrod Dreams in the Second Division.
The Women's Division also features D-Rockas against Flames at 5:30 p.m.

Paynesville Bulldogs secured a 71-54 victory over Bushrod Dreams on Sunday at the SKD Gym in the second game of the Best-of-Five Second Division Finals. The Bulldogs now need two more wins to be crowned champions.
In division-3, Junior Rockies managed a narrowed 57-55 win over Louisiana Blazers to start on a perfect note.
Currently, it's between Flames and D-Rockas in the women's division.
The match of the night is between LPRC OILERS and NPA Pythons in division one. It is one of the biggest rivalries in the history of the LBA.
Fans are expected to be well entertained as both clubs gear up to make history and win Liberia's lone spot in FIBA interclubs men's competition.

LD$1,000 for the general public
LD$800 for registered players
The Best-of-Five Finals Series tips off this Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the SKD Gymnasium and will continue on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until champions are crowned.

LPRC Oilers Advance to LBA First Division Finals with Second Straight Win
LPRC Oilers are on course to defend their LBA First Division championship after securing a second consecutive victory over Spartacus on Monday in Game 2 of their best-of-three semifinal series at the SKD Gym.
The Oil Boys claimed a convincing 57-39 win, completing a 2-0 series sweep to book their place in the best-of-five Grand Final against NPA Pythons.
Coach Varfley Corneh's side will now shift their focus to the championship series as they aim to successfully retain their league title.
In the women's division, D-Rockas and Flames have both advanced to the best-of-five championship series.
Meanwhile, in the men's Second Division, Paynesville Bulldogs will face Bushrod Dreams in the best-of-five finals.
In the Third Division, Junior Rockets and Louisiana Blazers have also secured spots in the best-of-five championship series.
