We’re still in the International Youth Day spirit….Yesterday, the RYMI family was also part of a youth dialogue organized by the Federation of Liberian Youth (FLY), bringing young people together with the National Road Fund of Liberia (NRFL).
It was a great space to learn more about the work of the NRFL, ask questions, share our concerns, and make recommendations on how they can better respond to the needs of young people.
We’re especially glad that young people had the opportunity to speak openly and that the NRFL committed to working on the recommendations and coming back to us with updates.
We love conversations where young people don’t just sit and listen, but speak up and help shape the solutions.

Recently, Rising Youth Mentorship Initiative (RYMI) hosted a two-day Stress and Trauma-Sensitive Approach (STA) training for service providers in Monrovia. Participants included members of the Women and Children Protection Section (WACPS), health workers, community leaders, school administrators, adult mentors, peer mentors etc
The training was designed to strengthen participants' knowledge and practical skills in providing survivor-centered, stress- and trauma-sensitive services to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). It also promoted coordinated, confidential, respectful, and effective responses across different service sectors.
The training was implemented under the project "Concerted Action for Zero Tolerance Against SGBV in the Mano River Region", with funding from BMZ through medica mondiale e. V. , as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen survivor protection systems and institutionalize trauma-sensitive approaches in Liberia & Sierra Leone.

Yesterday, Rising Youth Mentorship Initiative had the privilege of participating in the National Youth Policy (2025–2029) Regional Dialogue, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with UN Women Liberia and partners. 💜
The dialogue brought together young people and stakeholders to discuss the National Youth Policy and its role in shaping youth development in Liberia over the next five years. It was also a valuable opportunity to reflect on the rights and responsibilities of young people and the importance of their active participation in building stronger communities.
At RYMI, we believe that informed and engaged young people are key to creating lasting change. We’re grateful to have been part of this important conversation and remain committed to empowering young people to lead with confidence and purpose.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, lead, and dream without limitations.
At Rising Youth Mentorship Initiative (RYMI), we are committed to empowering adolescent girls and young women through mentorship, leadership development, sexual and reproductive health education, and protection from gender-based violence. Through our girls’ and boys’ clubs, community meetings, advocacy, and partnerships, we continue to create safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and become confident leaders in their communities.
Our impact goes beyond mentorship. Through our Financial Aid Program, we support girls in continuing their education, and through our Enrichment Program, we provide a fun and engaging vacation learning experience where girls strengthen their reading and writing skills, develop basic life skills, explore arts and crafts, express themselves through dance, and enjoy many other educational and recreational activities.
RYMI is excited to be part of Liberia’s National Giving Month, a time to come together in support of causes that create lasting change. As we join this campaign, we invite you to stand with us by investing in the future of Liberia’s young people.
Every donation helps us continue these programs and reach even more young people. Your support is an investment in brighter futures, stronger communities, and the next generation of leaders.
No amount is too small. Together, we can continue creating opportunities that transform lives.
Support our mission by making a donation today: https://fundraizer.com/organizations/Risingyouthmentorshipinitiative
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post with your family and friends is another meaningful way to support our work.
Thank you for believing in RYMI and for helping us create opportunities where every young person has the chance to thrive.

We can’t wait for another amazing school year! 🥹
As this school year comes to a close, we’re grateful for every moment we shared with the Girl-Led SRHR club at Carver Mission Academy. It has been an amazing journey filled with learning, laughter, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable memories. Every session was fun, educative, and interactive, and watching the girls grow in confidence and participation has been truly rewarding.
While the school year has ended, the journey doesn’t stop here. Our doors remain open, and we look forward to seeing many of you at our community club meetings as we continue to learn, connect, and grow together.
Many thanks, to the young women and girls, for making this school year so special. We can’t wait to do it all again next school year🫶🏾❤️
