We recently took a moment to felicitate our Asian Under-20 Champions, Dilanma and Omel, together with their dedicated coaches, in recognition of their outstanding achievements on the continental stage.

We couldn’t be prouder of what they have accomplished and now wish them the very best as they represent Sri Lanka at the upcoming World Athletics U20 Championships in Oregon. Keep dreaming big and making the nation proud!

Our Chairman, Deshamanya Mahesh Amalean, spent the afternoon with our medalists from the recent Asian U20 and U23 Athletics Championships, congratulating them on their outstanding achievements.

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome our Asian Under-23 Championship medalists back to Sri Lanka. Your outstanding performances on the international stage have made all of us at the MAS Athlete Training Academy incredibly proud.

The 1st Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026 in Ordos, China will be remembered as a landmark moment for Sri Lankan athletics.

🥈 Ayomal Akalanka – Silver Medal, 400m Hurdles (49.03s) 🇱🇰 NEW Sri Lanka Record, breaking a 26-year-old national record.

🥉 Jithma Wijethunga – Bronze Medal, 400m (53.10s PB).

🥉 Nethmika Madushani – Bronze Medal, Triple Jump (13.25m).

What makes this achievement even more special is that every medal won by Sri Lanka at this Championship was won by athletes from the MAS Athlete Training Academy.

We couldn’t be prouder of these incredible athletes, their coaches, and everyone who continues to believe in the journey of developing world-class Sri Lankan talent.
