We are proud to announce that our student, M.N. Nasheeth Jaama, is representing Puttalam Sports Academy in the National Youths Chess Championship Finals 2024. The event is being held at the Horizon Campus Malambe (KCM) from December 27th to 30th, 2024.

Puttalam Sports Academy Hosts Successful Scrabble and Chess Tournament Award Ceremony

Puttalam, Sri Lanka – December 23, 2024 – Puttalam Sports Academy proudly hosted an award ceremony on December 21, 2024 at Zahira Primary School, Puttalam, to honor the participants of its recent Scrabble and Chess tournament. The academy, which has been nurturing young minds in Scrabble and Chess for the past two years, conducted the tournament in two age categories: junior and senior.

The event celebrated the outstanding performances of the students, with trophies awarded to the champions and runners-up in each category. Additionally, the academy recognized the achievements of students who participated in an international chess tournament in 2023.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Z.A.Zanhir, Former Assistant Director of Education, who served as the Chief Guest; Mr. A.O.M. Rifaai, Cricket umpire & Coach SriLanka cricket & Association of Cricket Umpires of SriLanka and Scrabble Instructor, who was the Guest Speaker and Mr. Afraz, CEO of iSoft College and Campus Puttalam, who was the Guest of Honor. Their presence added great value to the event and inspired the young participants.

Around 50 students were awarded certificates for their participation and achievements, in the presence of their proud parents. The event was a testament to the academy's commitment to fostering intellectual growth and sportsmanship among the youth of Puttalam.

கடந்த 8 ஆம் திகதி முதல் 12 ஆம் திகதி வரை நடந்து முடிந்த யாழ்ப்பாணம் சர்வதேச சதுரங்க போட்டி 2023ல் எமது அகாடெமி சார்பாக கலந்துகொண்ட M.N. Nabeel Jaama, M.N. Nasheeth Jaama, M.N. Naheed Jaama மற்றும் M.F. Amnaan Ahamed ஆகியோர் 10 சுற்றுக்கள் கொண்ட போட்டியில் சர்வதேச தரப்படுத்தல் கொண்ட உள்நாட்டு மற்றும் வெளிநாட்டு சதுரங்க ஜாம்பவான்களுடன் போட்டியிட்டு முறையே 5, 5, 4, 3 என்ற வெற்றிகளை பெற்று எமது மண்ணுக்கும் எமக்கும் பெருமை தேடித்தந்துள்ளனர்.
இவ்வாறான சர்வதேச போட்டி ஒன்றில் எமது மாணவர்கள் கலந்து கொள்வது இதுவே முதல் தடவையாகும். முதல் முயற்சியிலேயே 5 போட்டிகளில் வெற்றி பெறுவது என்பது அசாதாரணமான திறமை உள்ளவர்களால் மட்டுமே முடியும் என்று பலரும் பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தனர்.
இப்போட்டி நிகழ்வில் இந்தியாவை சேர்ந்த அனுப் தேஷ்முக், சேகர் சந்திர சாகு, மற்றும் இலங்கையை சேர்ந்த இசுறு அலகக்கொன் அகியோர் முதல் மூன்று இடங்களை பிடித்து 5 இலட்சம் ரூபா பணப் பரிசையும் வெற்றிக் கின்னத்தையும் தட்டிச் சென்றனர்.
இப்போட்டி நிகழ்வில் மொத்தமாக 24 இலட்சம் ரூபா பணப் பரிசும் வெற்றிக் கின்னங்களும் வழங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

இன்று முதல் (8-12-2023) டிசம்பர் 12ஆம் திகதி வரை யாழ்ப்பாணத்தில் நடைபெறும் சர்வதேச சதுரங்க விளையாட்டு போட்டியில் எமது Puttalam Sports Academy சார்பாக எமது மாணவர்களான நபீல் ஜாமா, நஷீத் ஜாமா, நஹீத் ஜாமா, அம்னான் அஹ்மத் ஆகியோர் கலந்துகொள்கின்றனர். குறித்த போட்டி தொடரில் இலங்கை, இந்தியா, சீனா, நேபால் போன்ற நாட்டு செஸ் வீரர்கள் கலந்துகொள்கின்றனர்.
எமது சிறார்கள் வெற்றிபெற வாழ்த்துக்கள் தெரிவித்து பிரார்த்திப்போம்.
