"Maris Stella College hockey team clinched the 3rd place in the All-Island Inter-Schools Hockey Tournament held at Wennappuwa Albert F Peiris Ground from 28th to 31st December. St. Thomas College Matale and St. Joseph's College Wennappuwa emerged as joint champions.

Our journey included three wins in the group stage, securing a spot in the Quarterfinals. Advancing through the Semifinals after defeating Benedict College, we played an exhilarating match against St. Joseph Vaz, concluding in a 2-2 tie. Despite our best efforts in the penalty strokes, we fell short.

In the battle for the third place, the match ended in a draw, and we were honored with the title of 3rd place (Plate Joint Champs). Kudos to our resilient hockey team & Coach Tyronne Hasara Alwis💙❤️💙"
