Getting ready for 10 days around Sri Lanka by bicycle .. this is the 7th time. When this ride started in 2014, the Chalai road beyond Mulaitivue was not on the google map. It is amazing when you think about how you rode a bicycle through Wilpattu. Even if possible, I do not recommend taking that risk. This is the most beautiful journey to follow around the pearl. Bicycle means ....the difference is felt not only in the body, but also in the mind . We do this in the sunniest month. It's been like that ever since, .friends say that we have a love affair with the Sun . It's beautiful, it's an experience that combines a challenge and purpose. ✅🇱🇰 From CarFreeColombo 2019 To Cycling Sunday in 2021 NOW we need 🛑 # SmartFriday to Save fuel and Increase productivity. Friday plan 1) Learn from home on Friday ( urban schools) 2) work from home ( 30 % of workforce ) 3) Non essential public sector stay at home . Work an hour extra on other days 3) Temp cycling lanes from 5.30 to 7.30 am/pm for commuting PUBLIC transport- In the next 3 months , do public private partnerships and fix the PUBLIC TRANSPORT in key employment hubs (eg. Nawam Mawatha ) private sector can collaborate and easily manage a fleet . A single Brandix or Mas factory runs 30 buses at a minimum cost and almost no idle time and transports thousands during the day seamless. We have to learn from the ones who has the blue print and has put the system right Great work by all Activists
