Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has bid farewell to Sri Lanka following India’s tour, sharing a glowing message about the country, its people and Sri Lanka’s emerging young cricketers.
“Goodbye Sri Lanka, loved coming here. So many smiles, cars stopping to let people cross the road, clean air...” Bhogle said in a social media post.
He also praised Sri Lanka’s young batting talent, saying, “And yes, your young fellows can bat.”
Bhogle ended his message on a lighter note by praising Sri Lankan pineapple, locally known as “annasi,” saying it was “as good as ever,” before signing off with: “See you soon.”
