Mont La Salle Taekwondo was honored to welcome Grand Master Sayed Najem for a special training session with our athletes.

Born in Lebanon and representing Canada on the international stage, Grand Master Najem is a two-time Olympic taekwondo athlete and Olympic silver medalist (Barcelona 1992). He is also a two-time World Championship silver medalist (1991 & 1993) and a Pan American Champion, with numerous international achievements throughout his distinguished career. His experience, technical expertise, and dedication to the sport provided an invaluable learning opportunity for our students.

تايكواندو: البطلة ليتيسيا عون

تتأهل الى دورة الألعاب الآسيوية باليابان

تأهلت بطلة التايكواندو اللبنانية ليتيسيا عون الى دورة الألعاب الآسيوية بنسختها العشرين التي ستقام في محافظة إيتشي اليابانية بين 19 ايلول و4 تشرين الأول المقبلين بعدما وصلت الى الدور ربع النهائي (وزن تحت ال57 كلغ) من بطولة آسيا التي تقام في مدينة أولانباتار (منغوليا) .

وجاء تأهلها بعد فوزها في دور الـ 16 على لاعبة صينية مصنفة الثامنة عالمياً.
وبذلك، ضمنت عون التأهل الى الاستحقاق الآسيوي الكبير في اليابان.وخاضت عون البطولة تحت اشراف المدرب الوطني الغراند ماستر ايلي ايليا الذي واكبها في البطولة القارية.

وكانت عون خضعت لمعسكر تدريبي في تركيا استعداداً لبطولة آسيا .

وبعد ضمان التأهل، اتصل رئيس الاتحاد اللبناني للتايكواندو الدكتور حبيب ظريفة بإيليا وعون وهنأهما،باسم اللجنة الادارية للاتحاد وباسم عائلة التايكواندو اللبنانية، على الإنجاز المحقق في منغوليا مضيفاً ان رياضة التايكواندو ما زالت تحلّق في المحافل الخارجية على الرغم من الظروف الصعبة التي يعيشها لبنان.

هذا، وسيضع الاتحاد اللبناني خطة تحضيرية للبطلة عون استعداداً لدورة الألعاب الآسيوية المقبلة.
