This huricane season Amélie will rest again in the Rio Dulce Guatemala. But to get into the river, you must cross "the sand bar", the shallow area at the mouth of the river. We crossed last week with the high tide. No problem for us with 1.4m depth, but our friends from Cordelia and Aladdin, they been tipped!😳 The local authorities had created this year a channel markers we followed. Welcome to Guatemala.

Scuba diving/snorkeling in Roatan, Honduras is widely considered some of the best in the Caribbean. The island sits directly on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest reef system in the world. Known for its dramatic coral walls, massive shipwrecks, and complex underwater crevices, Roatan offers highly accessible diving with calm conditions, excellent visibility, and very short boat rides.

Cayos Cochinos is a great place to be discovered, not many people leaves here. The population is less than 200 people and surprisingly, most of the people live on the smaller islands of Chachahaute which is a small primitive looking community on a cay of the same name, whose inhabitants are from Nueva Armenia, Jutiapa. There is no power, nor running water, but this community is among the happiest you will ever meet.

The Garifuna community of Cayos Cochinos is an Afro-indigenous settlement with over 200 years of history in this archipelago of the Honduran Caribbean. Its inhabitants are concentrated mainly in Cayo Chachahuate, engaging in artisanal fishing and offering cultural and gastronomic experiences to tourists visiting the natural monument.

Thank you Annet for your beautiful gift. "Another neighbor boat painted — this time the catamaran Amelie.
I started with a large watercolor, taking time to work through all the little details. Then I made a second, smaller piece. Quick and painted purely by feel.

Two very different moods, same beautiful boat 💙" Annet
