It wasn’t the result we came for, with Bermuda’s pace and experience proving the difference on the day. But if there’s one thing this team can hold their heads high about, it’s that they left absolutely everything on the field.

This summer has been about far more than results. It’s been about growth, resilience, and pride. New caps earned. New faces stepping up. Players fighting their way into starting jerseys. Through injuries, retirements, semi-retirements, and player unavailability, this group never stopped showing up for each other and for Cayman Rugby.

Every player who pulled on the Cayman jersey represented the Cayman Islands with heart, courage, and pride. They leave the shirt in a stronger place than they found it—and that’s something to be incredibly proud of.

We also leave Bermuda with something far more valuable than a scoreline—new friendships, unforgettable rugby memories, and a relationship that we know will continue to grow. We’re excited to develop alongside Bermuda Girls’ and Women’s Rugby, whose players, coaches, and volunteers continue to create opportunities for the game to thrive. We look forward to building on this partnership for years to come and can’t wait to meet again on the rugby field.

To Katy Bayles—thank you. From the very beginning, you’ve been a driving force behind women’s rugby in Cayman. Your passion, commitment, and countless hours of work have helped build this programme into what it is today. Your legacy will continue to inspire the next generation.
