Bring It Swim Team would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center (NASC) for their continued support and generous contribution towards our recent trip to Barbados for the Sonia O’Neal International Invitational.

As partners in the development of aquatic sports in St. Kitts & Nevis, we are incredibly grateful for NASC’s ongoing commitment to helping provide opportunities for young athletes to grow and succeed both in and out of the pool. Their support continues to play an important role in the development of our swimmers and the overall growth of the sport.

Traveling to regional competitions comes with significant expenses, but the experience gained from these opportunities is truly invaluable. Beyond the performances and results, these trips allow our athletes to gain international racing exposure, build confidence, develop independence, and grow personally through sport and travel.

Thanks to the generosity and encouragement of NASC, our swimmers were able to compete against strong regional competition, achieve personal best performances, earn OECS qualifying times, and create memories and experiences that will stay with them for years to come. 💚

We sincerely appreciate NASC’s belief in our athletes and their continued partnership with Bring It Swim Team. Thank you for helping make opportunities like this possible and for continuing to invest in the future of swimming in St. Kitts & Nevis.

While part of the Bring It Swim Team was competing in Barbados this weekend, teammate Jazzelle Connor was making waves of her own at the 2026 Intermountain Classic Long Course Meet in Carson, NV

Jazzelle delivered an outstanding weekend of racing, earning several Top 10 finishes against strong competition and continuing to show tremendous growth and confidence in the pool.

The most exciting moment of the meet came when Jazzelle achieved her OECS qualifying time, marking a major milestone and a well-deserved reward for all the hard work and dedication she has continued to put into her training.

We are incredibly proud of Jazzelle and all that she accomplished this weekend. Congratulations on a fantastic performance and on securing your OECS qualification. We cannot wait to see what comes next!

We would like to recognize Coach Annelise Libbrandt, who proudly served as an official throughout all four days of the Sonia O’Neal International Invitational in Barbados.

In addition to supporting Bring It Swim Team on deck, Coach Annelise played an important role in the smooth operation of the competition by serving in several officiating positions during the meet, including Stroke Judge, Turn Judge, and assisting at the Resolution Desk. These roles require focus, professionalism, knowledge of the sport, and the ability to ensure that races are conducted fairly and according to competition rules.

Officiating at an international meet is an important responsibility, and we are incredibly proud to see Coach Annelise contributing not only as a coach, but also as a technical official supporting the sport at a regional level.

Her dedication, professionalism, and willingness to serve wherever needed continue to make a positive impact both within our team and the wider swimming community. Well done, Coach Annelise!

Last but certainly not least of our swimmers, we recognize Teadrian Tross for another strong competition weekend in Barbados.

Having already secured his OECS qualification earlier this year, this meet provided Teadrian with another valuable opportunity to continue building experience, confidence, and race sharpness against strong competition.

Teadrian once again showed excellent form throughout the meet, delivering several personal best performances which is an impressive achievement considering many of those PB’s were achieved just a few weeks ago. His consistency and continued improvement were reflected in his results, placing in the Top 10 in most of his events.

What continues to stand out with Teadrian is his determination and growing confidence every time he steps onto the blocks. We are proud of the progress he continues to make and excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for him.

Great job, Teadrian!

Next up, we celebrate our 8 & Under boys, Akimba Cornelius and Kawhi Hendrickson, who both represented Bring It Swim Team with heart, determination, and great performances throughout the weekend.

Akimba is no stranger to the Barbados pool and once again showed how much he continues to grow as a swimmer. Competing in 7 events, he finished in the Top 10 in every race he entered. One of the standout moments of the meet was his impressive 4th place finish in the 200m Individual Medley, especially exciting as it was his very first time attempting the event. Akimba has developed tremendously over the past year, and we are excited to continue watching his progress in the pool.

For Kawhi, this meet marked a very special milestone as it was his very first long course pool competition (actually, first pool competition period). Entering 5 races, he stepped up to every challenge with fantastic effort and enthusiasm. His highlight performance came in the 50m Butterfly, where he powered his way to an impressive 6th place finish.

These young swimmers are only just getting started, and we are proud of the confidence, courage, and determination they showed throughout the competition. Keep an eye on these boys as they continue to develop their skills and grow in the sport of swimming!

A big congratulations to Edith Denne on officially qualifying for the OECS Championships this weekend!

Edith put together an incredible meet, achieving personal best times in every event she raced and showing the results of all the hard work she has been putting in at training.

This weekend we also saw Edith step up to the challenge of the longer events, where she delivered strong and determined swims in both the 200m Freestyle and the 200m Individual Medley. She handled each race with focus, composure, and quiet determination.

We are incredibly proud of what she accomplished this weekend and excited to see her continue to grow and succeed.

Congratulations, Edith, on your OECS qualification. Very well deserved!

A huge congratulations to Abhijith Srinivasan on officially qualifying for the OECS Championships today!

Abhi has been working incredibly hard toward this goal, and today that dedication truly paid off. Not only did he achieve the qualifying standard, he absolutely crushed it!

Throughout the weekend, Abhi delivered several personal best performances, showing tremendous progress and confidence in the pool. But his 50m Breaststroke race today was something special. Abhi put together an outstanding swim, dropping an incredible 4.24 seconds from his previous best time and securing his OECS qualification in fantastic fashion.

His determination, commitment, and hard work continue to shine through every race, and we could not be prouder of what he has accomplished this weekend.

Congratulations, Abhi, on this amazing achievement - very well deserved!

What a great first day we had here in Barbados at the Sonia O’Neal International Invitational!

The team kicked things off with the 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle after a great training session yesterday morning getting acclimated to the pool and facility.

A special shoutout goes to Kawhi Hendrickson, who stood out in the 50m Butterfly, placing 6th in his very first overseas meet and his first time ever competing in a proper 50m facility, let alone an 8-lane competition pool! 👏

Kawhi, we are incredibly proud of you for stepping up onto the big stage and rising to the occasion with such confidence and determination!

The rest of the team also put together strong swims, with several personal bests and great performances against very tough competition. The experience and exposure this meet provides are invaluable, and the swimmers are embracing every moment of it.

We also want to recognize Coach Annelise Libbrandt, who serves as an official at the meet. We are so proud to see her on deck at an international competition. Your hard work and dedication to the sport do not go unnoticed!

Today we switch gears as the team takes on the 50m Backstroke and 200m Freestyle. Let’s go Bring It Swim Team!
