✅ MANDATORY MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To begin the PADI Divemaster course, you must:

• Be 18 years or older
• Hold PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying equivalent)
• Hold PADI Rescue Diver certification (or qualifying equivalent)
• Have completed EFR Primary & Secondary Care / qualifying CPR & First Aid training within the last 24 months
• Have a minimum of 40 logged dives
• Have current medical clearance for diving, signed by a physician within the previous 12 months

You will need at least 60 logged dives to complete the Divemaster certification, along with the other required experience and course requirements.

"My instructor was absolutely incredible. He was patient with some members of my group that struggled and gave him utmost effort to make sure

we could all safely and confidently get our open water diver qualification despite difficult weather conditions. Particularly for me, Andy was very helpful when I hit a small difficulty in that my were very slow in equalising so I had to frequently signal to ascend slightly to sort them out and Andy was extremely patient, constantly signing to ask if my ears were ok and to check that I was ok and not panicking. Additionally for future dives we altered plans to allow for my natural difficulty, for example descending slowly down the ankor line, descending to the coral reef at a smaller depth and gradually following the natural descent of the reef, or allowing me to wait at the surface after my CESA exercise, being watched by someone on the boat while the rest of my group did theirs so that I didn't gave to descend more than I needed to and waste time. Andy also taught me alternative methods for equalising that may work for me, for example swallowing, wiggling my jaw, massaging the area by my ear, and also the frenzel maneuver which ended up working really well for me and allowed me to descend faster with less problems and worries.

Overall, Andy was an outstanding instructor and he made the experience much more enjoyable and safe for me and my group.
