π¬ Cambodia's STEM future starts with empowering teachers.
In 2023, only 12% of Cambodian employees possessed intermediate- or advanced-STEM level skills, compared with 43% in Vietnam and 44% in Thailand. At the same time, student enrolment in Cambodia's upper secondary science track fell from around 90% in 2012β2013 to just 32% in 2025β2026. These trends highlight an urgent need to strengthen STEM education and build the country's future workforce.
Our latest blog explores why continuous professional development (CPD) for STEM teachers is a critical part of the solution. By equipping teachers with the knowledge, skills, and support they need, Cambodia can inspire more students to pursue STEM and better prepare them for tomorrow's opportunities.
