វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលនេះរៀបចំឡើងក្រោមកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការគម្រោង “ការពង្រឹងអភិបាលកិច្ចសហគមន៍កសិកម្ម តាមរយៈកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការរវាងកម្ពុជា និងអៀរឡង់ ដើម្បីការអភិវឌ្ឍប្រកបដោយចីរភាព” ក្រោមការឧបត្ថម្ភគាំទ្រពីទីភ្នាក់ងារ Irish Aid នៃរដ្ឋាភិបាលអៀរឡង់។

វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលនេះមានគោលបំណងពង្រឹងសមត្ថភាព និងសិទ្ធិអំណាចសហគមន៍កសិកម្ម ក្នុងការដឹកនាំ និងជំរុញឱ្យមានការផ្លាស់ប្តូរយុទ្ធសាស្រ្តក្នុងសហគមន៍ ព្រមទាំងចូលរួមឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងលើប្រវត្តិរួម គុណតម្លៃរួម និងទស្សនវិស័យរួមរបស់សហគមន៍។

វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលនេះ ត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងនៅសហគមន៍ចំនួន ៣ រួមមាន

៣. សហគមន៍ទំនើបប្រាសាទសំបូររុងរឿង នៅខេត្តកំពង់ធំ។

(Takeo and Kampong Thom): On August 5–6 and August 10, 2026, the team from the Ecosystem Services and Land Use Research Center (ECOLAND) of the Royal University of Agriculture, in collaboration with Dr. Noreen Byrne from University College Cork (UCC), Ireland, organized the second training session on “Building the Capacity of Agricultural Cooperatives in Cambodia.”

The training was conducted under the cooperative project “Empowering Agricultural Cooperatives: Bridging Cambodia and Ireland for Sustainable Development,” with support from Irish Aid of the Government of Ireland.

The training aimed to strengthen the capacity and empowerment of agricultural cooperatives to lead and drive strategic changes within their communities, while encouraging participants to reflect on their shared history, shared values, and shared vision.

The training session was conducted across three agricultural cooperatives:
1. Tram Kak Union Cooperative
2. Tram Kak Modern Vegetable Greenhouse Community in Takeo Province and
3. Prasat Sambor Rung Roeang Modern Agricultural Cooperative in Kompong Thom Province.

(Preah Vihear & Kampong Thom)៖ On 20-31 July 2026, Ecosystem Services and Land Use Research Center (ECOLAND) RUA – Royal University of Agriculture in collaboration with UCOOPIA under the project's framework “Agroecology Alliance to Promote Sustainable Cashew Nut in Cambodia (CHANTI)” had conductued data collection including in-depth interview with project beneficiairies of 119 households to 1) assess the Agroecological performance using (TAPE) tool and 2) identify challenges and opportunity toward agroecological transition in the two project areas including Kampong Thom and Preah Vihear provinces.

(Kampong Thom): On July 24, 2026, To promote sustainable agricultural development and strengthen local governance, the team from the Center for Ecosystem Services and Land Use Research (ECOLAND) at the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) and a master’s degree students from University College Cork (Ireland), organized a training session on “Agricultural Cooperative Capacity Building in Cambodia” at the Prasat Sambor Rung Roeang Modern Agricultural Cooperative in Kompong Thom province.

This training session was conducted under the project “Strengthening Agricultural Cooperative Governance through Cambodia-Ireland Cooperation for Sustainable Development,” supported by Irish Aid of the Irish Government.

The objective of the training was to introduce strategic plans for Agri-Cluster Retention and Expansion (ACRE), strengthen governance, promote member-centric management, and develop strategic agricultural cooperative development planning. This event was attended by approximately 23 participants, including officials from the Department of Agricultural Cooperative Development, the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, commune agricultural officers, board members, inspectors, and members of agricultural cooperative.

The Ecosystem Services and Land Use Research Center (ECOLAND) of the Royal University of Agriculture was deeply honored to welcome a delegation from the Embassy of Ireland for an exchange meeting on July 13, 2026.

The meeting brought together Mr. Ronan Cunniffe (Deputy Head of Mission) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (Senior Advisor) from the Irish Embassy in Vietnam, alongside the ECOLAND team, to discuss the implementation of our joint project (EDU/2025/Cambodia-01).

During the discussion, the Center highlighted key achievements and ongoing activities in collaboration with the UCC Centre for Co-operative Studies of Cork University Business School Ireland, including:
• The exchange visit to Ireland this past May and upcoming follow-up plans.
• Upcoming training sessions for agricultural cooperatives in Takeo and Kampong Thom provinces.
