We aim to conquer ourselves through rigorous training that strengthens both mind and body. In particular, the basic training of Kyokushin Karate not only teaches karate techniques, but also incorporates breathing exercises to help understand mental concentration and how to generate power from the dantian (lower abdomen).

2026年6月27日にホーチミンの日本人学校体育館で開催された第8回ベトナム空手道選手権大会でカンボジア極真空手クラブの中学3年生の眞野選手が「突きの型」の部と「女子50kg未満の組手」の部で優勝しました。
型の部は2連勝、組手の部は初優勝です。

At the 8th Vietnam Karate Tournament in 2026, Ms. Mano, a third-year junior high school student from the Cambodian Kyokushin Karate Club, won first place in both the Tsuki no Kata division and the Women's Under 50kg Kumite division.
This was her second consecutive victory in the Kata division and her first victory in the Kumite division.

Cambodia Kyokushin Karate new class schedule and member fee are the followings.

Date:
Wednesday 18:30-20:00 for all Level
Sunday 12:00-13:30 for all Level
Friday 17:00-18:00 for kids
Friday 19:00-20:00 for color belt

Venue:
Cambodia Japan Traditional Martial Arts Center at Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

Member fee:
$40 per month for adults.
$20 per month for students.

Clothing:
Karate uniform or clothes that can be exercised.

Our dojo is not yet an official dojo from the Kyokushin Karate headquarters in Japan.
Once we have more than 20 students, I would like to apply to the Kyokushin Karate headquarters in Japan as a first official Kyokushin Karate dojo in Cambodia.

Grand Master Mas. Oyama taught the students that the life of Karate is in kumite and the life of kumite is in the basic technique.
So the most important training of Karate is the basic training.

What is the difference between Muay Thai and Karate?
Karate has many traditional basic training and breathing training to strengthen "Seika Tanden".

What is "Seika Tanden"?
It is located about 9 centimeters below the navel, and putting effort into this area will make you healthier and give you new strength.
