Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO Asia) Expresses Condolences and Solidarity with Nepal
The Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO Asia), under the leadership of President Nassiri, has extended heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the people of Nepal following the catastrophic flash flood that struck northern Nepal’s Rasuwa District along the Bhote Koshi River.
In an official letter sent today to Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, President Nassiri conveyed the deep sorrow of the Confederation’s Board and members over the immense loss of life and devastation caused by the disaster.
“On behalf of Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA), its Board, and all our members, I wish to express our deepest condolences and solidarity with the people of Nepal. We stand in unity with the families who have lost loved ones and with the nation during this time of mourning,” wrote President Nassiri.
He further expressed relief that Mr. Shrestha and his colleagues are safe, while extending sympathy to all those affected. The message emphasized the resilience and unity of the Nepali people as a source of strength and healing in the days ahead.
WAKO Asia stands firmly with Nepal during this difficult time and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the spirit of solidarity across the Asian sporting community.

PRESS RELEASE
The Asian Kickboxing Confederation (AKC) is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the 3rd National Congress (MUNAS III) of the Indonesian Kickboxing Federation (PP.KBI), held on 28 July 2026 in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia.
As the Federation’s highest governing authority, the Congress was convened in full accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws of PP.KBI, with duly accredited voting delegates representing 27 Provincial Federations from across Indonesia.
The Opening Ceremony was honored by the presence of:
Mr. Budi Ariyanto Muslim, Assistant Deputy for Elite Sports, Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia
Mr. Jadi Rajagukguk, Executive Committee Member, National Olympic Committee of Indonesia (NOC Indonesia)
Mr. Sadik Algadri, Special Advisor to the President, National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI)
Their participation reflects the continued commitment of Indonesia’s national sports institutions to the advancement and professionalization of kickboxing throughout the country.
During the Congress, Mr. Ngatino was unanimously re‑elected as President of the Indonesian Kickboxing Federation (PP.KBI) for the 2026–2030 term.
The Organizing Committee confirmed that all agenda items were deliberated and completed in full compliance with the Constitution, Bylaws, and established procedural standards of the Indonesian Kickboxing Federation (PP.KBI).

Mr. Nasser Nassiri, President of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation (WAKO ASIA), together with the members of the AKC Board, extends the Confederation’s warmest congratulations to Mr. Ngatino on his election as President of the Indonesian Kickboxing Federation (PP.KBI) for the 2026–2030 term.
President Nassiri added that the Asian Kickboxing Confederation wishes him continued success in his leadership and expresses full confidence in his ability to further strengthen the development and advancement of kickboxing throughout Indonesia.

On July 3rd, 2026, Nasser Nassiri, President of the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, visited the IFMA (International Federation of Muaythai Associations) headquarters in Bangkok. He was warmly received by Secretary General Stephan Fox and IFMA Executive Committee Member Dato Shahnaz Azmi.
During this visit, President Nassiri paid tribute to the late Tassanee “Tukky” Poeypoj McNaught, the dedicated IFMA office manager who recently passed away. Tukky’s professionalism, kindness, and devotion to her colleagues left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
