Today 29.08.2026 at 23:40 we welcomed the legendary athlete Mijaín López at Manas International Airport, Bishkek.

He is the only wrestler in the history of all wrestling styles to become a five-time Olympic champion (2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024) and five-time World champion.

The athlete arrived as an honorary guest of the World Alysh Federation as part of the VI World Nomad Games.
He was welcomed by the President of the World Alysh Federation Adilet Bayaman uulu, President of the National Alysh Federation Asylbaev Adilet, Vice-President of the National Alysh Federation Bekmyrza Tynychbekov, and Vice-President of the National Alysh Federation Kairatova Angelika.

On June 18, 2026, a ceremonial event was held to present a special commemorative badge and official certificates to the leadership of the World Alysh Federation and the National Alysh Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the ceremony, the President of the National Alysh Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adilet Omurbekovich Asylbaev, was awarded a special commemorative badge of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, established in honor of the 100th Anniversary of Sports in Kyrgyzstan, in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of national sports.

The President of the World Alysh Federation, Adilet Baiaman uulu @, also presented the official certificate of the National Alysh Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Certificates were also presented to the Vice President of the National Alysh Federation, Anzhelika Kairatovna Kairatova @, and the Vice President of the National Alysh Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bekmyrza Tynychbekovich Tynychbekov @.

Following the ceremony, a working meeting of representatives of the World Alysh Federation and the National Alysh Federation was held as part of the preparations for the VI World Nomad Games. During the meeting, participants discussed organizational matters related to the competition, coordination between the federations, as well as further steps for the development and promotion of Alysh wrestling at the international level.

We congratulate our colleagues on this well-deserved recognition and wish them continued success, new achievements, and productive work for the development and promotion of Alysh wrestling around the world.

On May 17, 2026, in the city of Pune, Republic of India, an international meeting was held between the leadership of the World Alysh Federation and Honorable Member of the Parliament of India Shri Shrirang Appa Barne.

The meeting was attended by the President of the World Alysh Federation, Adilet Bayaman uulu; Cholpon Sultanbekova - Chairperson of the UWW Traditional and Belt Wrestling Committee and UWW Bureau Member; Omarmukhtar Tamboli - President of the All India Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Federation (AITWPF), President of the Asian Alysh Federation, and Head of the World Nomad Games 2026 in India; C. A. Tamboli - President of Maharashtra State; Altap Mulla - General Secretary of Karnataka State; Jaidev Mhamane - International UWW referee and athlete; as well as international medalists Sudhir Pundekar and Aditya Bukki.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the organization of the 2026 UWW Belt Wrestling World Championship in India, the development of Alysh and traditional wrestling styles, and the strengthening of international sports cooperation.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and became an important step in strengthening international sports relations.

On May 16, 2026, at the Shiv Samarth Sports Complex located in Mulikwadi Village, Satara District, Republic of India, the President of the World Alysh Federation, Adilet Bayaman uulu, the Chairperson of the Traditional and Belt Wrestling Committee of United World Wrestling and Bureau Member of United World Wrestling, Cholpon Sultanbekova, as well as the President of the Asian Alysh Federation and President of the All India Traditional Wrestling and Pankration Federation, Omarmukhtar Chandpasha Tamboli, took part in the International Alysh Belt Wrestling Seminar held under the auspices of United World Wrestling. The seminar was organized by Sudhir Hanmant Pundekar, President of the Sudhir Pundekar Asian Wrestlers Sports Foundation.

As part of the visit, the representatives participated in the official opening ceremony, visited the sports academy, held meetings with athletes and coaches, and also attended demonstrations of international traditional belt wrestling.

The seminar brought together representatives of the sports community, athletes, and organizers, becoming an important platform for strengthening international cooperation and promoting Alysh and traditional styles of wrestling.

The World Alysh Federation expresses its sincere gratitude to Sudhir Hanmant Pundekar for the high level of organization, warm hospitality, and valuable contribution to the development of traditional wrestling.
