We tried to capture the fun through these slides but nothing compares to experiencing the Run in person.
The climbs, altitude, views and the amazing company made it a day to remember. Thank you to Mt.Kenya Trail Blazers for the warm hospitality and to every Swara who showed up.
See you at the next one💚.

One of the best things about running is celebrating each other's victories. Today we celebrate our members who conquered their maiden Marathon and Half Marathon at .
Here's a note from Nekesa (slide 2) who did her first Marathon.
Completing my first marathon at the 2026 Nairobi City Marathon still feels unreal. The plan for this year was to run as many half-marathons as possible to improve my stats, manage my heart rate and just enjoy the run. Chris Olobo (a fellow Swara) will tell you how hard he tried to convince me but to no avail.
Then somewhere in between joining the Sunday Swaras and running the Two Oceans Half Marathon, I started feeling the urge of running a marathon. I really fought it because the longest run I had done was a 25k that I run at an average heart rate of 170, which also left me with painful blisters and lost toenails. I was sure I wasn't ready for a marathon, because I actually detested long runs.
So you can imagine my joy when I actually stood at the finish line of my debut marathon with a time of 4:52...not only did I finish but I also run the entire distance without hitting any wall past 25km. I've been told that this is a unique experience and I agree...I owe it to a combination of things - the countless half-marathons that have been my training ground, strength training at the gym, mobility workouts from yoga and Pilates and being around people who are crazy enough to run marathons for fun... like the Sunday Swaras whose service has fuelled my young running career 😂. Special shout out to my self-appointed coach Eric who couldn't understand why I was stuck on running half-marathons.
I started running for very different reasons during COVID and never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be signing up for races, chasing medals and speaking at the roundtable of Swara marathoners.
