Kenya Hockey Union

The Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) has declared the Nairobi County Hockey Association elections held on 22nd November 2025 at Parklands Sports Club illegal, procedurally flawed, and null and void.

Key highlights from the ruling:

The elections violated the NCHA constitution, including failure to hold the AGM by 31st May 2025 and irregular changes of dates and venue.

All resolutions, elections, and appointments arising from the 22nd November polls have been quashed.

The Sports Registrar has been directed to supervise fresh elections within 60 days, in strict compliance with the law.

Current office holders retain only residual powers to facilitate the new elections, which expire after 60 days.

Costs of the suit were awarded to the Claimant, Thomas Olal Onyango.

Tribunal’s final word: “The NCHA elections held on 22nd November 2025 were illegal, procedurally flawed and null and void ab initio.”
