No political victory is worth the blood of a Kenyan. No seat is more valuable than the life of a mother, father, son, or daughter. Elections come and go, leaders come and go, but after the campaigns we will still meet in our markets, schools, churches, workplaces and neighbourhoods. We will still need one another.
Let us therefore reject hatred, tribalism, violence and political intolerance. Let our competition be about ideas, development, leadership and the future we want for our people—not about who can intimidate the other. Those seeking leadership must also remind their supporters that political opponents are not enemies; they are fellow citizens exercising their democratic rights.
Kenya belongs to all of us. 🇰🇪 Let us protect her. Let us love one another. Let democracy compete, but let peace win.
One Kenya. One People. Different Choices. One Destiny.
