EVERY TRANSFORMATION BEGINS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY. 💙
At Shaber Slums Dream Team, we have consistently invested in nurturing children and young people in Korogocho through education support, school feeding programmes, child rescue and protection, digital literacy, mentorship, and life skills development.
It is through these continuous efforts and trust that our programs (pillars) have been on spotlight and being supported with other organisations and well-wishers.
Today, we proudly celebrate one of our incredible milestones_ Digital education building robotics tools using the digital and STEM skills these beautiful kids from Korogocho supported in this program have acquired. This is more than just a programme; it is proof that when children are given the right opportunities, they can innovate, create, and shape the future.
In today's digital era, digital education is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity. Equipping children with technology skills opens doors to innovation, employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong opportunities.
We are deeply grateful to Digitoto for partnering with us to empower children from Korogocho and for believing in their potential. Together, we are proving that a child's background should never determine their future.
As we continue transforming lives, we warmly welcome partners, sponsors, and well-wishers to join us in expanding opportunities for more children.
Together, we can Rescue, Restore, Rise, Digitize, and build a generation that is educated, empowered, and ready for the future.

We dont just share food with them.
We mentor them and teach them the word of God.
Everyone of them is given an opportunity to showcase his or her ability.

The value of God in them
The fear of the Lord in them moves us

WHEN LOVE FEEDS A COMMUNITY
It started with someone noticing.
Many people have been watching our journey. Gwiji Foundation have been watching too quietly the holiday feeding programs we've run since last year, the school fees we've covered for 5 children, the computer fees that opened doors to digital skills, the family empowerment sessions, the kids' festival exchange trips, the uniforms we've put on small backs so no child has to feel left out in class.
Early June, they reached out to our Team Lead George Arwa if we as Shaber Slums Dream Team could do something together for Korogocho kids not because we asked, but because the work spoke for itself. 🙏
That's how Gwiji Foundation became the main sponsor of the feeding program last Saturday, 27th June, held with the wonderful kids of Korogocho at Christian Family School, and once Gwiji stepped in, Neat & Fit followed because love invites love.
Our Team Lead Mr. Arwa extended invitation to his friends from different organisations who honored the invitation. We extend our gratitude to Pendo from Pendant of Hope Foundation who did not come alone but tagged his colleague who is also the chairperson of their Foundation, Joy Akinyi of Frankys Foundation, Mama Wanda (Ruth Kinyanjui), a dear personal friend of our team lead George Arwa, whom all showed up because they believe in what we do as an organisation.
Together, we cooked, served, the children showcased their talents, sat through mentorship sessions that planted seeds for their future, and of course we cut the cake! 🎂
It was a day full of food, laughter, music, and the kind of joy that reminds you why this work matters.
"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done." — Proverbs 19:17
We extend our gratitude to Almighty God who enabled us to do this. We thank all our members Mbira Sue, Sylvia Ochieng, Achibellah Mo, Washington Ayodi, Beatrice Auma, Winrose Murage, Emmy Francis Mwanda and many others who stood and joined us. Our partners and the school at large headed by Susan Omondi and all the parents of the kids. We say thank you.
This is who Shaber Slums Dream Team is. Ordinary people, volunteer-run, self-funded, choosing to Love and Serve People to Life. And when organizations like Gwiji Foundation see consistency, they don't just donate, they partner, they join the story and now part of it.
But here's the truth: there are still many children in Korogocho we haven't reached yet. Empty plates we haven't filled, school fees still unpaid, uniforms still missing, talents still waiting to be discovered.
We're still looking for partners and friends to walk this road with us whether through sponsorship, donations, volunteering, or simply sharing our story.
If Saturday's feeding moved you, don't just watch from the sidelines. Reach out. Partner with us. Let's feed more, teach more, and reach more children together. 💛
