On 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, we were delighted to host 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 for a friendly over-the-board match, bringing together players for a day of competitive and enjoyable chess.

The action continued on 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 as we faced 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 in an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵, with 25 players representing both sides across exciting battles on the board.

A weekend of friendship, competition, and connecting through chess across borders. 🌍♟️

Last Saturday, we focused on one of the most critical endgame concepts in chess - Pawn Endgames, with special emphasis on mastering the mine squares.

Members explored key techniques, sharpened their calculation skills, and learned how precise king positioning can turn a seemingly equal position into a winning one. 🔥

Endgames are where true understanding is tested, and it was great to see everyone actively analyzing, discussing, and putting ideas into practice.

Every square matters. Every move counts.

Last Saturday’s activity was all about Team Chess ♟️🔥

We had 4 groups with 2 members each, battling it out through teamwork, calculation, and a little bit of chaos 😅

Last Saturday was all about expanding our chess horizons!

We hosted an interactive session focused on opening ideas and practical repertoires, where members stepped up and volunteered to share their concepts and approaches.

It was a great exchange of knowledge and perspectives.

Always inspiring to see members actively contribute and learn from each other 👏🏽

What a weekend at the club!

We had the privilege of hosting a simultaneous exhibition with 3-time National Champion Mehul Gohil, taking on multiple challengers and sharing his brilliance across the boards. An inspiring experience for all!

At the same time, our members were out there representing us in the National League 💪🏽 — competing, learning, and making us proud.

From high-level battles at the simul to intense league action, it’s all about growing the game and pushing each other forward.

This time, Nairobi Chess Club was all about team chess ♟️🔥

We switched things up with the exciting Bughouse variant - where teamwork, speed, and sharp tactics take center stage!

Nairobi Chess Club held its 1st edition Rapid Tournament for its members.

Competing under a 10+0 time control, the games were intense, with strong participation and competitive play visible across the boards!

Top 3 players were recognized and awarded cash prizes for their performance!👏
