Sometimes Allah brings people closer to us in the most unexpected places...

Well salam mamas...

I just thought I’d share a little BTS from our final guest speaker on Mothers Making a Difference in East Africa.

And this one is extra special because she is someone very close to my heart. 🥹

SubhanAllah, we’ve known each other—and our families—for over 20 years back in Australia, yet somehow we never became this close.

Until Allah brought us together here in Kenya.
Away from home.

And what a beautiful connection and friendship it has been, Alhamdulillah. 💗

In this episode, Fatuma shared how her health struggles transformed her soul and brought her closer to Allah SWT.

And one thing she said really stayed with me...

“I would do it all over again.”

SubhanAllah.

Because what she went through wasn’t just a test for her—it became a soul awakening.

It reminded me how Allah sends each of us messages in different ways, and sometimes the hardest seasons can bring us closer to Him in ways we never imagined.

Stay tuned for “Trusting the Vision” with Fatuma Jama Fatuma Jama , coming soon to The Nourished Mum Podcast. 🎙️

I can’t wait for you mamas to hear this conversation.

Sometimes what we think is breaking us is actually bringing us back to Allah.

Until next stay blessed, mama!

Well salam mamas...

If there’s one thing this season has taught me, it’s that motherhood was never meant to be done alone.

When I first moved to Kenya, I felt lonely.

I had left behind my family, my friends, and everything familiar.

I never imagined that Allah would bless me with a village that would one day feel like family.

This weekend, these beautiful sisters surprised me with the most heartfelt farewell, and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

Every hug, every du’a, every laugh, every tear... reminded me just how kind Allah has been to me.

Mama, if you’re in a season where you feel alone, don’t stop making du’a for righteous companionship.

Be open to new friendships.

Invite someone for coffee.

Join that class.

Start the conversation.

Your village may be one conversation away.

And when Allah blesses you with people who love you for His sake, hold them close and thank Him often.

May Allah bless every mum with sisters who remind her of Him, lift her up when she’s struggling, and walk beside her through every season of life. Ameen🤲

What if the only thing standing between you and the life you want... is waiting to be perfect?

Well salam mamas...

Looking back at how far I’ve come is honestly one of the most transformational things I’ve started doing.

I’ve decided to make it a yearly ritual—to share my beginning of the year, my mid-year, and my end-of-year journey.

Not because I’ve “made it,” but because I want you to see what growth actually looks like.

I get so many DMs asking, “Fawzia, how do you do it as a mama of five while running your coaching business?”

My answer?

I do it scared.

My beginning was messy... and some days still are.

Even now, I question myself. I wonder if what I’m sharing is really making a difference.

But before doubt convinces me to stop, I hit post.

The video that feels cringe.

The awkward pause.

The caption with a typo.

In fact, my eldest daughter recently pointed out that I’d written “think” instead of “thing” in one of my recent carousel posts. 😂

Do you know what I told her?
“I’m not deleting it. I’m human, and people will know what I meant.”

That same post went on to reach over 6,000 people and brought 27 new mums into this beautiful community.

Imagine if I had let perfection stop me.

So here’s your reminder, mama...

Don’t wait until you feel ready.

Take the risk.

Start messy.

Trust Allah.

And one day, you’ll look back and be amazed at how far He’s brought you.

Because you can’t celebrate progress you never gave yourself permission to begin.

Well salam mamas...

The other night, I took my dear friend—and my neighbour of the last three years & half —out for a girls’ night before we say our goodbyes. As we’re both taking our different paths and life decisions for us and our families..

As I was sitting there, I couldn’t help but reflect on how much Allah has changed me.

Because this version of me didn’t always exist.

There was a time when I felt guilty every single time I left the house without my children... even when they were safely with their dad.

I convinced myself that being a “good mum” meant always being available.

But I’ve learnt that filling your own cup doesn’t take away from your family—it allows you to pour into them from a place of joy instead of exhaustion.

A couple of hours with a friend. A meaningful conversation. A good laugh.

These aren’t things to feel guilty about, mama.

They’re gifts that help us return home as calmer, happier, and more present mothers.

If you’ve been carrying that mum guilt, let this be your reminder: taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s part of taking care of your family.

May Allah help us find balance, remove unnecessary guilt from our hearts, and allow us to nurture ourselves just as we nurture those we love. Ameen. 🤲

Until next stay blessed , mama!

Well salam mamas...

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a vlog, and so many of you have been asking when the next one is coming!

With our move back to Australia happening this month, I thought I’d take you along for the journey. 🥹✈️

One of the things on my to-do list was finding meaningful gifts for my family and friends back in Australia, and I came across the most beautiful handcrafted treasures at Amani Ya Juu Showroom & Café. From unique souvenirs to gorgeous homewares, it’s the perfect place to pick up something special for your loved ones.

If you’re in Nairobi, I highly recommend stopping by—it’s located near State House.

Come along with me in today’s vlog as we soak in this special season together before we say goodbye to Kenya.

May Allah put barakah in every journey and every goodbye. Ameen.🤲

Well salam mamas...

When I first moved here from Melbourne, Australia, I left behind my family, friends, and everything familiar.

The adjustment was hard, not just because it was a new country, but because my heart wasn’t open yet.

I was simply trying to survive this new season of life.

But Allah, in His infinite mercy, had a different plan.

He surrounded me with incredible people who slowly became family.

They welcomed me, encouraged me, and reminded me that even in the most unfamiliar places, Allah can make you feel at home.

Kenya became the place where I found more Qur’an sisters , I started my podcast The Nourished Mum Podcast, served amazing mums through coaching, and experienced so much personal growth.

Looking back, I can truly see Allah’s wisdom in every step.

To everyone who prayed for us, welcomed us, checked in on us, or simply became part of our journey... JazakumAllahu khayran.

You have left a mark on my heart that I’ll carry wherever Allah takes us next.

One thing I’ve learnt is this: home isn’t always a place. Sometimes, it’s the people Allah places in your life exactly when you need them most.

May Allah preserve these beautiful friendships and reunite us in this life and, ultimately, in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen. 🤲

Love you all so much 😘

Sometimes Allah SWT writes a path for you long before you can see where it’s leading.

SubhanAllah, one of my biggest takeaways from my conversation with Halyma Sheikh Dahir was seeing how beautifully Allah divinely redirected her life through the Qur’an.

What began with a friend introducing her to Al-Huda Institute to study tadabbur... led to joining a Qur’an hifdh programme...

then a Qur’an book club... and one step after another, Allah continued opening doors she never could have planned herself.

And that’s the beauty of trusting Allah’s plan.

When you take one sincere step towards Him, He opens doors you never imagined were waiting for you.

This conversation gave me so many aha moments, and I know it will for you too.

💗If you’re a mama who is investing in her akhirah, longing to deepen her relationship with the Qur’an, or wondering where Allah is leading you in this season of life, then this episode is one you won’t want to miss.

🎙️ “Divinely Redirected: Purpose & Rebranding” with Halyma Sheikh Dahir is coming soon to The Nourished Mum Podcast.

I pray it inspires you to trust Allah’s timing, embrace His plan, and keep taking that next step towards Him.

Until then... stay blessed and stay nourished, mama.

What if one simple habit could completely change the way you experience motherhood... and life?

One thing I’ve learnt over the years is that gratitude isn’t just about saying Alhamdulillah when life is going well.

It’s about training your heart to recognise Allah’s blessings, even in the ordinary moments.

The cup of tea you finally drank while it was still warm.

A heartfelt conversation with a friend.

Your child’s laughter.

Another day to begin again.

And that’s why I’m so excited to introduce one of our beautiful guest speakers for The Nourished Mum High Tea – Meet & Connect...

✨ Kayitesi Sandra

A Clinical Psychologist, podcaster, and the Founder of In the Quiet Hub.

Sandra is passionate about helping people slow down, reflect and cultivate gratitude in their everyday lives. During our High Tea, she’ll be sharing on the importance of gratitude for women and how creating moments of reflection can positively shape the way we navigate life’s different seasons.

I truly believe this conversation will leave every woman in the room feeling encouraged to pause, appreciate the blessings already around her and carry that gratitude into her home, her relationships and her journey with Allah.

I’m so grateful to have Sandra not only joining us as our main event sponsor, but also investing into the hearts of every woman who will be attending.

Please join me in giving her a warm Nourished Mum welcome in the comments below. 💗

I can’t wait for this beautiful afternoon together.

Until next time...

Stay blessed and stay nourished, mama. 💕
