Your team notices more than what you tell them.
They notice how you handle mistakes. How you speak about people when they’re not in the room. How you react to disagreement. What you tolerate. What you celebrate.
Over time, those small behaviours become signals: this is how we do things here.
So, what is your leadership modelling when you’re not intentionally trying to lead?

We often assume that greater responsibility naturally comes with greater influence.
It doesn’t.
You can be accountable for a strategy, lead a team, chair a meeting, or own an important decision and still struggle to get people genuinely aligned.
That is because responsibility and influence are different things.

If your team keeps bringing the same problems to you, the answer may not be to get better at solving them.
It may be to get better at teaching them.
The next time someone brings you a problem, try asking:
"What do you think we should do?”
You might be surprised by what happens when people get the chance to think, decide, and learn.

Every woman we have coached has had to unlearn something nobody warned her about.
A skill. A habit. Something she picked up early just to get through the door, and then had to put down once she was actually in the room.
What's the one thing you had to unlearn to lead the way you do now?
If you're a woman in leadership, or mentoring someone who is, our Pathway to Parity program is built around exactly this kind of conversation. Link in bio to learn more.

If you're coming to coaching expecting someone to tell you what to do that's not how it works.
Coaching works when you're already doing the thinking. I just ask the questions you haven't asked yourself yet.

Leadership often looks attractive from a distance.
What you don't always see are the difficult conversations, competing priorities, uncertain decisions, and responsibilities that come with the role.
