On my way home with a bag of dirty clothes, a hundred photos and beautiful memories

The South Coast Long Walk is a success story.
One written by members of Hikers Club, Mombasa Walk Movement and Kenya Navy.
One that started on Wednesday 8th July at 0530 hrs at Likoni Ferry and ended at Horohoro on the Kenya Tanzania Boarder on Saturday 11th July at 1700 hrs.
One that has a high record of 213,940 steps, 160km in 28 hours of movement.
One that brought together lecturers, teachers, phycologists, accountants, yoga experts, realtors, humanitarians and consultants.
One that had different experiences of life experiencing one incredible 160km experience.
One that had them taste local delicacies, new cultures, meeting remarkable people and seeing breathtaking places.
One that had them walk across a river hand in hand, soaking in the white sandy beaches, go snorkeling in the Indian Ocean, dive into The African Pool, celebrate a birthday and celebrate personal milestones.
One that at the 100th km your mind, body and soul would ask why you're even doing this.
This was not a side quest.
This was a story of personal victory, of conquering self.
This was one story of self actualization.
This story is one of Hikes and Long Walks.

With a heart full, until the next trail.

What is an ESTUARY ?
Last year the 🦛 🦛 hippos and 🐊 🐊 crocodiles of Sabaki river witnessed the hikers club team members visiting the River Sabaki estuary.

This year what are your expectations on the south coast tour and Longwalk of 150km in 4 days ? We have another estuary at the *Kongo river* and without hippos or crocodiles.

We have had many questions regarding the *Iveti hills* trail.

It’s a part of a trail of the Tour De Ukambani 3 days hike by Hikers Club Long Walks first done in October 2023.
It was recently mapped out as a day hike by members of Hikers Club and Machakos We Walk Club.

*We are hosting part of the trail as a 25km Traverse on 20th June, 2026 at shs. 1,700 per person, cost catering for transport from Nairobi CBD and back, guide fee and refill water.*
The traverse will go through the lush green Katunga Forest to Miti Mwonza, trail via coffee farms to Mutituni town . After a light lunch in Mutituni town we will be on our way to Nairobi via Mua hills and briefly experience the anti- gravity hill.
