KBF congratulates Otieno William Ochieng on his selection by FIBA Africa for the 2026 African Mini Basketball Convention, taking place 26–29 July in Moroni, Comoros.

Selected by FIBA Africa from nominations submitted for consideration, the FIBA Level 1 coach and Snipers Basketball Club Head Coach will join 70 coaches from across Africa in a programme engaging approximately 400 children through the power of basketball.

Another opportunity for Kenya to learn, connect and strengthen the game from the grassroots up. 🌍🏀

We are proud to have Kenya represented at the FIBA Mini Basketball Africa Development Programme 2026, bringing together 70 coaches from 15 countries and impacting 400 children through the power of basketball.

From 26–29 July in Comoros, coaches from across Africa will connect, learn and strengthen the foundations of youth basketball development.

A proud campaign for our Kenya U23 Women’s 3x3 National Team, who finished Silver Medalists at the FIBA 3x3 Youth Nations League 2026 – Africa East Conference in Mombasa.

While the World Cup ticket narrowly slipped away, the journey is far from over.

Attention now turns to the FIBA Africa 3x3 U21 Nations League in Monastir, Tunisia, where another opportunity awaits to qualify for the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup in Wuhan, China this September.

Every tournament is another step on Kenya’s pathway to the LA 2028 Olympic Games. This team’s resilience and determination show that the best is yet to come.
