There is a reason the Toyota Axio 2019 has become one of Kenya's most trusted sedans. It's economical, reliable, comfortable, and remarkably easy to maintain. Whether it's daily commuting, long-distance travel, or business use, the Axio continues to prove why it remains a favorite.
But one thing we have observed after working on numerous Axios is that ground clearance gradually becomes a concern as the factory coil springs age. It doesn't happen overnight. The change is gradual until one day speed bumps require extra caution, passengers at the back make the rear sit lower, and rough roads become something to avoid.
That was the exact story with this Axio.
The owner wanted a practical solution not an exaggerated lift, not a stiff ride, but a suspension setup that would comfortably handle Kenyan roads while maintaining the smooth driving experience Toyota intended.
After a detailed suspension assessment, we installed carefully selected high-quality coil springs designed to restore the correct ride height and improve load support without compromising comfort or stability.
The transformation was immediate.
The Axio regained a balanced stance with a healthy fender gap. Ground clearance improved significantly, making speed bumps, estate roads, and uneven surfaces much easier to negotiate. More importantly, the car retained its smooth ride, predictable handling, and excellent stability at highway speeds.
That's the difference between simply replacing springs and selecting the right springs for the job.

European cars have a personality of their own, and the Peugeot 308 is no exception.
Designed with a low stance, sharp steering, and excellent road manners, the 308 is built to hug the road. That makes it an absolute joy to drive on smooth tarmac. But once it lands on Kenyan roads, those same characteristics can become a daily challenge.
This particular Peugeot 308 came to us with a familiar concern low ground clearance. The owner loved the car's handling and comfort but had grown tired of approaching every speed bump, pothole, and steep entrance with unnecessary caution. The fear wasn't just scraping the underside; it was the possibility of damaging expensive components such as the exhaust system, catalytic converter, engine undertray, front bumper lip, and lower suspension components.
After following our suspension work on Facebook, the owner decided to trust our experience.
Our objective wasn't to make the Peugeot sit like an SUV. It was to give it practical Kenyan ground clearance while preserving everything that makes a European hatchback enjoyable to drive.
We carefully installed properly matched coil springs that restored the ride height without upsetting the vehicle's suspension geometry. The result was exactly what proper suspension engineering should deliver.
The Peugeot now has a healthy, balanced fender gap. It clears speed bumps and rough roads with much more confidence, while maintaining its composed ride, responsive steering, and planted handling. Comfort remains intact, stability is preserved, and the car still looks every bit the sporty European hatchback it was designed to be.
That's what we've always believed at Dayu Auto Suspension every car deserves a suspension setup that matches the roads it actually drives on.

Every suspension upgrade has a goal.
Sometimes the owner wants maximum ground clearance. Sometimes they want a sporty stance.
But with this Nissan Bluebird Sylphy, the request was different.
The owner didn't want the car sitting too high. They simply wanted the perfect balance a comfortable ride, improved ground clearance, and a suspension setup that still looked natural.
That's exactly what we set out to achieve.
The Bluebird Sylphy is well known for its refined ride quality. It was engineered to deliver comfort before anything else, and we were determined to preserve that character while correcting its ride height.
After carefully assessing the suspension, we selected the right set of heavy-duty coil springs to give the car a moderate lift just enough to comfortably clear Kenyan speed bumps and rough roads without compromising its elegant appearance.
The result was simply beautiful.
The vehicle now sits with a natural, factory-like stance. The ground clearance is noticeably better, yet it doesn't look exaggerated. The suspension feels firm enough to support passengers and luggage, but soft enough to soak up bumps with ease.
Most importantly, the ride quality is outstanding.
Smooth over rough roads.
Stable at highway speeds.
Comfortable in town.
Exactly the kind of balance every Sylphy owner dreams of.
Looking at the before and after photos, the transformation speaks for itself. Sometimes the best suspension upgrade isn't the highest one it's the one that perfectly matches the vehicle and the owner's expectations.
And that's what we pride ourselves on at Dayu Auto Suspension.
We don't just lift vehicles.

Honda Shuttle has quietly become one of the most practical wagons on Kenyan roads. It combines the comfort of a sedan, the luggage capacity of an estate, and the fuel economy of Honda's advanced hybrid technology. Whether it's family travel, business errands, or long-distance journeys, the Shuttle does it all with remarkable efficiency.
But practicality comes with one challenge.
A Honda Shuttle is rarely driven empty.
Passengers, luggage, shopping, work equipment every extra kilogram is carried by one component more than any other: the coil springs.
With time, the factory springs begin to weaken from years of supporting the vehicle's weight. The signs are gradual but familiar. The rear starts sitting lower, the car struggles over speed bumps, and when fully loaded, ground clearance becomes a constant concern.
That was exactly the condition of this Honda Shuttle when it arrived at our workshop.
After a complete suspension inspection, we confirmed that the original coil springs had lost much of their supporting strength. Instead of using spacers or temporary solutions, we replaced them with our carefully selected heavy-duty coil springs.
The transformation was exactly what the Shuttle needed.
The ride height was restored, ground clearance improved significantly, and the suspension became much more supportive under load. More importantly, the vehicle retained the smooth ride, stability, and fuel-efficient driving experience that Honda engineered from the factory.
A good wagon should carry your family and luggage with confidence not scrape every speed bump along the way.
That's why at Dayu Auto Suspension, we don't believe in shortcuts. We restore the suspension the right way.

DJ5FS or DJ3FS is one of Mazda's finest compact hatchbacks. Built with SKYACTIV Technology, it's lightweight, fuel-efficient, responsive, and incredibly enjoyable to drive. But like many Japanese imports, it was designed for roads that are much smoother than what we experience here in Kenya.
After years of daily driving, the original coil springs gradually lose their strength. The vehicle begins sitting lower than it should, reducing suspension travel and making ground clearance a real concern. Many drivers think the shock absorbers are the problem, yet the foundation of ride height has always been the coil springs.
After carrying out a full suspension inspection, we confirmed that the weakened springs were the reason this Demio had lost its original stance.
The solution wasn't to fit spacers or temporary fixes.
We replaced the tired factory springs with our carefully selected heavy-duty coil springs, engineered to restore proper ride height while maintaining the comfort, stability, and handling characteristics that make the DJ5FS such a pleasure to drive.
The transformation spoke for itself.
The vehicle now sits noticeably higher, clears speed bumps with confidence, carries passengers without excessive sagging, and still delivers the smooth, stable ride Mazda is known for.
This is why we always say:
You don't improve ground clearance by forcing the suspension higher you improve it by restoring the strength of the component that carries the vehicle's weight.
That's the difference a quality set of coil springs makes.

Mazda 6 has always been a driver's car. While many manufacturers focused on getting people from one place to another, Mazda focused on how the journey should feel.
Built around SKYACTIV Technology, the Mazda 6 combines a lightweight yet rigid chassis, responsive steering, excellent weight distribution, and a suspension system engineered to strike a perfect balance between comfort and handling. That's why it feels planted on the highway, confident through corners, and remarkably refined for a family sedan.
But every suspension system has one component that quietly carries the biggest responsibility.
The coil springs.
Every time you accelerate, brake, corner, carry passengers, or hit a pothole, the coil springs are supporting the vehicle's entire weight. After years of service, especially on Kenyan roads, they naturally begin to lose their original tension.
The warning signs are easy to miss at first.
The vehicle starts sitting slightly lower.
The front lip or underbody begins scraping speed bumps.
The rear sags when carrying passengers or luggage.
The suspension no longer feels as composed as it once did.
Many drivers immediately replace the shock absorbers, yet the weakened springs continue carrying the same load they can no longer support effectively.
That was the condition of this Mazda 6 when it arrived at our workshop.
After a complete suspension inspection, we confirmed that the coil springs had reached the end of their service life. We replaced them with carefully selected heavy-duty springs designed to restore proper ride height while maintaining the balance and driving characteristics Mazda engineers intended.
The transformation was immediately noticeable.
The Mazda 6 regained its correct stance. Ground clearance improved significantly, allowing it to tackle speed bumps and uneven roads with confidence. The suspension became more supportive under load, body control improved, and the vehicle once again delivered the composed, refined ride that makes it Mazda

The new-generation Toyota Vitz proves that greatness isn't measured by size. Toyota took everything drivers loved about the earlier Vitz models and refined it into a hatchback that feels more premium, more efficient, and more enjoyable to drive.
The first thing you notice is its bold, sporty design. The sharp LED-inspired styling, sculpted body lines, and modern interior make it look and feel like a car from a much higher class. Step inside and you'll find a cabin designed around the driver, with improved comfort, better visibility, and technology that makes every journey more enjoyable.
Underneath that stylish body is Toyota's latest engineering philosophy. The new Vitz is lighter, stronger, and more fuel-efficient than its predecessors. Its suspension and chassis are carefully tuned to deliver stability in corners, comfort on the highway, and excellent fuel economy around town. It's no surprise that it has quickly become one of the most sought-after hatchbacks on Kenyan roads.
But like many modern Japanese imports, there's one compromise.
To achieve that sporty handling and excellent fuel economy, Toyota designed the Vitz with relatively low ground clearance. It performs beautifully on smooth roads, but Kenyan roads often tell a different story.
Speed bumps become obstacles.
Rough roads require extra caution.
Loading passengers or luggage brings the vehicle even closer to the ground.
That was exactly the concern with this beautiful Toyota Vitz.
Our solution wasn't to change the car's character it was to enhance it.
By fitting our carefully selected heavy-duty coil springs, we perfectly improved its ground clearance while preserving the smooth ride, stability, and handling that make the new Vitz so enjoyable to drive.
The transformation was immediately noticeable. The vehicle now sits taller with a confident stance, clears speed bumps with ease, and comfortably carries passengers without excessive sagging. Most importantly, it still drives exactly the way a Toyota

The 2011 Toyota Voxy is one of those vehicles that perfectly understands its assignment. It was built to carry people comfortably, accommodate growing families, and make long journeys feel effortless. With its spacious cabin, sliding doors, flexible seating arrangement, and impressive fuel economy, it's no surprise that the Voxy remains one of Kenya's most preferred family vans.
But there's one thing about a family vehicle it's rarely driven empty.
School runs, shopping, weekend trips, family gatherings, luggage, and passengers all add weight to the vehicle. Every journey asks the suspension to do a little more than the last.
Over time, the original coil springs begin to lose their strength. It happens gradually, so many owners hardly notice until the signs become obvious.
The rear starts sitting lower than before.
Speed bumps become frustrating.
The vehicle squats whenever it's fully loaded.
The front bumper and underbody become vulnerable on rough roads.
The smooth, comfortable ride that made the Voxy famous slowly starts disappearing.
That was exactly the condition of this Toyota Voxy 2011 when it arrived at our workshop.
After a thorough suspension inspection, we identified the weakened coil springs as the root cause. Instead of taking shortcuts, we restored the suspension the right way by fitting properly matched heavy-duty coil springs designed to support the weight of the vehicle without compromising comfort.
The transformation was immediate.
The Voxy regained its proper ride height. Ground clearance improved significantly, making speed bumps and uneven roads far less stressful. The suspension became more supportive under load, while maintaining the soft, comfortable ride that families love.
importantly, the vehicle can now carry passengers and luggage with confidence, without excessive sagging or unnecessary strain on the suspension.
A family vehicle should inspire confidence, not caution.
This Toyota Voxy is now ready for school runs, road trips, holiday

Toyota Corolla Sport. Stylish, fuel-efficient, packed with technology, and built on Toyota's impressive TNGA platform, it's everything modern drivers are looking for.
Then there's the Honda Insight, a hybrid sedan that quietly delivers luxury-level comfort, outstanding fuel economy, and one of the smoothest driving experiences in its class.
On paper, these two cars are rivals.
On Kenyan roads, however, they share the same challenge.
Both were designed in Japan with efficiency, aerodynamics, and road handling in mind. The engineers wanted them to sit low, cut through the air effortlessly, and maximize fuel economy.
Great idea.
Until they meet Kenyan speed bumps.
Suddenly, that sporty stance becomes a source of stress. Parking entrances need careful negotiation. Rough roads require patience. And once passengers or luggage come on board, the available ground clearance becomes even smaller.
That's where many owners begin searching for a solution.
And that's where we come in.
Over the years, we've upgraded numerous Honda Insights and Toyota Corolla Sports using our carefully selected heavy-duty coil springs. Not because the vehicles are poorly designed, but because Kenyan roads demand a little more from them.
Our springs do something simple but powerful.
They restore confidence.
Confidence when approaching speed bumps.
Confidence when carrying passengers.
Confidence when driving on rough roads.
Confidence when entering steep driveways.
Most importantly, they do all this without sacrificing the comfort, stability, and fuel efficiency that made you buy the vehicle in the first place.
The Honda Insight remains smooth, quiet, and economical.
The Toyota Corolla Sport remains sporty, stable, and responsive.
The only difference is that both become far better suited to real-world Kenyan driving.
Sometimes the best modification isn't adding horsepower.
Sometimes it's simply making a great car more practical.
And that's exactly what our springs do.

One of the most common questions we receive is:
"Can I just install spacers to increase my ground clearance?"
This Toyota Allion provided the perfect answer.
The owner had previously installed spacers in an attempt to solve a low ground clearance problem. And to be fair, the spacers did create some height. From a distance, the car appeared higher. The problem, however, was that the real issue had never been addressed.
The original coil springs had already weakened.
Like every suspension spring, they had spent years carrying the weight of the engine, passengers, luggage, and absorbing thousands of kilometers of road impacts. Eventually, they lost part of their original strength and the vehicle started sitting lower than Toyota intended.
Instead of replacing the tired springs, spacers were added.
Unfortunately, spacers don't make springs stronger.
They don't improve load-carrying capacity.
They don't restore suspension performance.
They simply create space.
Think of it this way: if a building's foundation starts sinking, adding a taller roof doesn't solve the problem. The foundation still needs attention.
The same principle applies to suspension systems.
When this Allion arrived at our workshop, the symptoms were obvious. The suspension still felt weak under load, the ride quality had deteriorated, and despite having spacers installed, the vehicle wasn't performing the way it should.
After a thorough inspection, we removed the spacers and focused on the component that actually supports the vehicle's weight the coil springs.
We installed a set of properly matched heavy-duty coil springs designed specifically to restore the vehicle's ride height and suspension performance.
The transformation was immediate.
The Allion regained its natural stance.
Ground clearance improved the correct way.
The suspension became firmer and more supportive.
Passengers and luggage could be carried comfortably without excessive sagging.
Most importantly, the vehicle felt balanced again.
