Rest in Peace, Sydney Gongodyo. 🕊️
It's hard to believe that the last time we played against you would be your final game. A fierce competitor and a true rugby man, Sydney left a lasting impression on everyone who shared the field with him.
Gone too soon, but never forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and teammates.
Rest easy, Sydney.

"Hizo enzi walikuwa wanatuita wakulima
Ndio tuligundua ni juu tulikuwa farmers but bado tulikuwa tunawalima vibaya sana.

We achieve 6-peat in Enterprise Cup
We have once again asserted our pre-eminence in regional club rugby, completing a historic Enterprise Cup six-peat following a disciplined and physically authoritative 25–12 victory over Uganda’s Black Pirates at the RFUEA Grounds.
This triumph extends a remarkable sequence of sustained excellence, marking the fourth consecutive season in which the Sugarmen have secured a domestic double. The achievement further entrenches our legacy, with Enterprise Cup titles now amassed in 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Unbeaten at RFUEA in the post-COVID era, we commenced with decisive intent, striking within the opening five minutes. A meticulously constructed phase sequence culminated in Kenyan international Derrick Ashihundu grounding in the right corner, though the conversion attempt from Ntabeni Dukisa drifted wide.
Thereafter, we imposed territorial hegemony, suffocating the Black Pirates through sustained set-piece pressure and repeated disruption of their lineout platform. The Ugandan champions, however, momentarily breached our 22 in the 13th minute, signalling their first meaningful incursion.
A pivotal defensive escape ensued when William Nkore executed a charge-down on Walter Okoth’s clearance, only for the ball to run dead, sparing us immediate consequence.
The Pirates eventually found parity through a scrum-based launch, as Alex Aturinda detached sharply from the base to level matters at 5–5, before Nkore’s conversion nudged them into a 7–5 advantage.
Our response was both methodical and assertive, anchored in forward dominance. Veteran George Nyambua finished a well-executed rolling maul to restore control at 10–7, despite another missed conversion.
Moments later, structural superiority at the maul once again yielded dividends, with Nyambua completing his brace to extend the cushion to 15–7.
The second half witnessed an elevated tempo from our side. A precisely weighted cross-kick from Dukisa unlocked Patrick Sabatia, who outpaced his marker with clinical acceleration to finish a sweeping move, although the conversion remained elusive.
In the 55th minute, incisive game awareness from Walter Okoth created the platform for Ashihundu, who exploited a fractured defensive line with searing pace to register his second try, elevating the score to 25–7.
A temporary numerical disadvantage followed in the 66th minute after a yellow card to Hillary Odhiambo, during which Black Pirates capitalised via Arnold Karuhanga, who grounded from close range following sustained scrum pressure.
Nonetheless, despite a tense and attritional final phase, our defensive structure remained resolute and unyielding, enabling us to close out proceedings and reaffirm our dominance with yet another Enterprise Cup crown.
